Mhm, this game looks interesting and it was made by some of the portal guys I think.

Pre-purchased it on steam last week.

Good to know it holds up, at that it's Portal in all the right ways. It's not like the comparison of "it's like portal" could ever really be a bad thing, in any case.

Big surprise it reminds you of portal, it was designed by Kim Swift, one of the students who worked on the Portal predecesor, Narbacular Drop, that Valve hired to create Portal. Her voice is in the commentary mode where she talks quite a bit about the game design.

Yea, I'm looking forward to this one. Pre-ordered it as soon as it was available on Steam. It definitely looks like my kind of game.

Looking forward to this one, to be honest if this was just a portal rip off I still probably would have bought it. However it is nice to hear it stands up on it's own merits, give me my physics puzzles fix.

Well, duh. I sat and talked with her about it last year at GDC (as we had cookies, actually). But its overwhelming Portalness made me wonder if she was a one-trick pony; she may still well be, but at least it's a fun trick.

She was also the team leader for Portal itself.

She also worked on some of VALVe's other titles such as the other Orange Box titles and Left 4 Dead.

This game looks bloody brilliant. I've already preordered it on Steam and cannot wait to get it loaded up. Love the aesthetic, the ambience, the clever physics and FPS puzzler. Portal is great, but more FPS puzzlers are better! Every sneak peak makes me look forward to it even more.

I will warn in advance however...I will probably be screaming how much I hate this game and anyone involved in its creation, as well as their questionable parentage, genetic inferiority and dubious mental faculties a couple of hours into playing it. If this should come to pass, it is because it's entirely true and nothing to do with me being stuck on a *@%#$ of a level that I've tried every *&£($@ thing on and the s**tf**kba***rdas**ole door won't *(£^$@ open. :)

Well, you might have perhaps mentioned her by name in the article. I agree though, it's a good trick and it can evolve in many interesting ways.

Seriously, the more press you give to smart, creative people like Swift, the better.
