Over 4 Million Copies of Brain Age Sold

Nintendo has announced that Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day has sold over 4 million units worldwide.

After a successful Japanese launch with over 3 million units sold, Brain Age for the Nintendo DS has gone on to sell an additional 600,000 units in the Americas and 500,000 units in Europe. The success of Brain Age and the strong showing for the Nintendo Wii at E3 2006 has prompted Nintendo stock prices to climb in the past three months. They are currently trading at $22.90 compared to roughly $13.00 per share one year ago today.

An English sequel to the game has yet to be announced.

Others disagree with me, but I still think Brain Age is a brilliant piece of software. Even if it's not necessarily fun.

The Floaty Zombie Head Professor still weirds me out.

Before Brain Age, I had no clue what Sudoku was. But after picking up that little piece of software, I've discovered it's addictive qualities and sublte brain stimulation tricks. Now, I lead a more productive life, lost 30 pounds and am a generally happier person.

Thank you Brain Age for making me a Sudoku whore!
