Umm, Activision/Blizzard? I'm not really surprised.Liberaliter said:Looks like MW2 isn't the only game with crappy overpriced content for purchase.

As cool as it looks when you see 12 or 20 of them flying around you it looses it's value (not entirely but it does suffer) in my mind. The harder to get (or insanely rare) the better it is no?Doc Theta Sigma said:The amount of nerdrage about this mount is hilarious. I bought one because frankly, I haven't got anything to spend money on at the minute. People are saying things like "What's next on the Blizzard Store? Tiers? Epics? Legendaries?" and to be honest, that is stupid. This mount doesn't give you an advantage over anybody else. Anybody can buy one.
Which brings up another argument I heard. "Oh its nothing special, everyone will have one so what's the point?". Oh yes. What a shame. I don't have to spend hours of raiding and proving to the rest of the player base that I have a bigger E-Peen to get a cool looking mount. Shame on you Blizzard. Shame on you for doing what a company is supposed to, I.E. Make obscene amounts of money ¬¬
I'm not denying that. It's true, the rarer it is the better it is. Just saying its nice that those of us who don't have the time to raid can get a cool looking mount.Asturiel said:As cool as it looks when you see 12 or 20 of them flying around you it looses it's value (not entirely but it does suffer) in my mind. True say, that being said I still would rather try to get a 25 3D OS for the chance at the twilight drake, or go to Zul'Gurub and solo the tiger/raptor boss.Doc Theta Sigma said:I'm not denying that. That sounds like something that should be on your facebook profile.Tom Goldman said:I would do anything to ride on a unicorn.
I remember getting the tiger mount for a guildie once. We were all so jealous.Asturiel said:True say, that being said I still would rather try to get a 25 3D OS for the chance at the twilight drake, or go to Zul'Gurub and solo the tiger/raptor boss.Doc Theta Sigma said:I'm not denying that. Thank you sir for the clarification, it seems like a groovy product if you care enough to buy it.Dastardos said:It only becomes a 310 speed mount if you already have a 310 speed mount.pantsoffdanceoff said:Now I haven't played WoW since pre-BC, but doesn't making this available to anyone make it slightingly cheap to people who went through all the work to get a 310 speed mount?
If you don't have a 310% speed mount then it's a 280% or a 150% or a 100$ or a 60% speed mount.
You do NOT get an advantage over anyone else by buying this. By getting this you don't avoid having to pay for raiding training, or going through the work to get a 310% mount.
The speed of the steed changes varying on what your riding training is, and if you have a 310% speed mount.
There is a difference between gold and dollars. What I was talking about was the "controversy" of being able to use real world money to gain a virtual advantage and how that doesn't apply to this situation.Asturiel said:I thought the tiger went down in price to something not completely outrageous. Also just to clarify to those who don't know, that tiger used to be 10k+. May have been 25 at one point but I can't be sure. Also about the griffin, I believe there is a difference between gold and dollars. Perhaps you grinded for hours for that gold but I think typing at a keyboard for world of warcraft of all games to farm? Perhaps some raiding would take considerable skill and execution but farming is just making sure you don't die and they do. I put a lot more value on what I work for in real life to what I work for in WoW.wadark said:Well, regardless, it's not like its some horrible greedy thing. Don't want/need it? Don't buy it. Simple as that. I for one will be paying for one ASAP, better than spending $1000 on a spectral tiger (Yes, that is what they go for on ebay).
OT: Awesome looking, but as I mentioned before, everybody and their mother has one so why do I want it? Also 25 dollars is best spent elsewhere.
