Save Vampires! From Pointy Death in This Puzzler

Guide Count von Bubblehead to his crypt in this PC & Mac game, but try not to get Queenie killed along the way.

It's almost dawn; time to get those pesky bloodsuckers back in their coffins, but the daft little sods are about as safety-conscious as a bunch of depressed lemmings and some unfeeling cad has left deathtraps all over the shop. You'd better make creative use of garlic repellent and spider nets, or it's goodnight for all the Vampires! This one has a strong whiff of Dungeon Keeper about it, but as the trailer demonstrates it has a quirky, bloodthirsty charm all its own.

You lead Count von Bubblehead and his brethren through the maze by rotating labyrinth squares to channel the Vampires in a specific direction, employing garlic to stop the Vampires going down a particular route or using spider webs to slow them up. Meanwhile those pesky slayers have left silver bullet cannons, mirrors and other traps in the way. If you're a bit slow on the uptake, the Vampire will wander into one of those deathtraps and vanish in a puff of grave dust. You can call on the mystic powers of the Vampire Queen [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXK8cIVeL0Y&feature=player_embedded] if you feel the need, but be warned; if she dies, that's game over.

This comes courtesy of CBE Software, who have Greenlight [http://www.cbe-software.com/?page_id=167]. No word on a release date yet, but if the developer is listening: I'd like this on my tablet sooner rather than later!

Hmm, I would point out that the silver bullet cannons make no sense, seeing as that silver bullets are the bane of werewolves, not vampires.

Now if the cannon shot wooden stakes, that would be right. Or maybe a crossbow shooting arrows would have been a better choice.

You shoot a vampire with a silver bullet, hes going to say, "So now I have a hole in me, so what?" Then you would be dead because you mixed up folklore monster weaknesses.

"Because of the mysticism surrounding silver's lunar associations, as well as the aesthetic qualities of the white, reflective metal that cause it to be associated with purity, silver in European Folklore has long been traditionally believed to be an antidote to various maladies and fictional monsters. Notably, silver was believed to be a repellant against vampires (this primarily originates from its holy connotations; also, mirrors were originally polished silver, and as such, vampires allegedly cannot be seen in them because they are wicked) and it was believed that a werewolf, in his bestial form, could only be killed by a weapon or bullet made of silver, and was equally effective against vampires, as described in Eastern European folklore. This has given rise to the term "silver bullet," which is used to describe things designed to cure or fix a wide array of maladies."
