Solve Broken Sword's Mayan Mystery Before World Ends

Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror now has a Google Play release.

Investigative journalist Nicole Collard and her friend George Stobbart are about to plunge themselves into occult-tinged turmoil once again, as Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror gets a re-release on Google Play. The game was originally released in 1997, but its rebirth comes just before the official Mayan End of the World; nice timing on the developer's part.

The Broken Sword series was one of the classic puzzle franchises of the 1990s. Stobbart - possibly the only heroic patent lawyer in gaming - and his friend 'Nico' Collard first teamed up to solve a Templar mystery, and went on to solve two other Templar-related plots. Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror is the first time the series explored the Mayan option, and it has been re-released on other platforms; this latest is the Android version.

"When the original game was released in 1997, December 21st 2012 seemed a long, long time away," said Charles Cecil, co-founder of Revolution Software and one of the brains behind the series. "I'm delighted that Android owners are now able to play the game, but I would urge them to hurry."

This one's out now, for $4.99, via Google Play [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.revolution.BSII&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsInVrLmNvLnJldm9sdXRpb24uQlNJSSJd].

So will the game delete itself when Dec 21st rolls around, or is there enough filler for players to still be working on the game until the "last moment"
