BioShock Infinite Fan Video Falls From Columbia

What happens when you jump from the city in the sky?

BioShock Infinite removes the series from the underwater depths of Rapture and places it in the sky-high city of Columbia. Columbia's a beautiful city, assuming you're not afraid of heights; the floating metropolis amongst the clouds often gives a glimpse of the depths below, though usually it's just more clouds and blue sky. So what happens when you fall from Columbia? This fan video may have the answer.

As those who have played Infinite and either jumped or slipped off the city know, this doesn't actually happen normally in the game, so it's not easy to get this look at Columbia. The accompanying music, which the Youtube page identifies as "River was Filled With Stories" by World's End Girlfriend, adds a nice touch, giving the video a calm, serene feeling... well, until Booker's journey down reaches its abrupt ending.

It's unclear whether this is a glitch or a mod of some sort, though the weird jump at around the 13-second mark makes me think it's the latter. Still, it gives a beautiful view of Columbia from a completely different viewpoint, and it's worth watching for those who, like me, can't get enough of BioShock Infinite.

Pretty cool. I guess one of the reasons they didn't have booker fall to earth at any point is because well, it'd take a while, and it might get a little frustrating.

Honestly, I thought it was a bit of a fault in the game that the city's location is rarely apparent. In bioshock 1+2, you were constantly reminded by drips from the ceiling and the windows that you were in a rusting shell of a dead city, underneath the entire weight of the icy atlantic ocean.

In infinite, aside from the technology, art style, and the occasional floating building or look over the edge, you could be forgiven for forgetting at some points that you were in the sky at all.

:/ Who would have thought that falling to your death could be so peaceful?

:) Very nice.

It might also have to do with the fact that falling even one foot over the edge instantly zapps you back. This doesn't really create a sense of height.

Very beautiful. I'd assume that he was able to simply clip through the point at which the game puts you back on the city after you fall.

Also, are their multiple endings for this game? I've literally just finished it, and I'd like to play it again if I could see another ending. Because I know their are some choices available.

Nope just one ending. It's still worth replaying though to catch some plot points you may have missed.

True, plus there's plenty of Easter Eggs scattered around and stuff to find. The Voxophones add a huge sense of story and background to the story.

I think Lemon Demon's "I've got some falling to do" would've been a funnier soundtrack (though admittedly the fall would've had to be about 10 times longer for that to really work)

What's wrong with the ending?
I wrote a review on it. The second half explains most issues I had with the ending. </3

Did you watch to the end of the credits? It gives you a sort-of-happy ending...

it makes me so sad

*cheers

also, to clarify, there's a distinction between a 'sad' ending and a 'grimace-inducing' ending. Like for example, the end of Titanic was a 'sad ending'. The end to System Shock 2 was a 'nasty ending'. Both are 'well written', but they are of completely different feels

My review does touch on that. But essentially, it's the tone of the ending as a whole. The nuances are what crushed me the most; it's like someone giving you a grain of sugar after making you suck on a lemon
