Based on previous EA FtP models, I'm assuming this will be pay-to-fun (if not pay to win). Still, the Origin client pre-req will prevent me from joining in these festivities.

I expect it to be beautiful and lame.

They keep trying to reel me in. Godamn you EA why do you have to own so many damn series I like?

I can't tell from the video whether or not infantry are grouped or singles. I much prefer individual units in C+C games. Overall it looks fairly good, although I am somewhat wary of it being free to play, seeing as that must mean there are things to buy. I don't like the idea of paying to have an advantage in competitive games at all.

Reportedly, youre paying for access to more generals, and further down the line its speculated that you can also pay for new factions, SP campaigns and map packs.

Dont take my word for it though, im only guessing.
