Europa Universalis III, Magicka, and The Showdown Effect headline the Paradox-themed bundle.

In an industry criticized for homogeneity, Paradox Interactive tends to stand out. The Swedish publisher will greenlight all manner of weird games, with [a href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAfsSA6_GrE]mixed results[/a]. Its willingness to cater to increasingly narrow niches means its games can be likened to oddly-shaped sticks. Often, they can scratch that itch like no other, but sometimes they can just be pokey. A cross-section of Paradox's best are featured in the Weekly Humble bundle, which also includes a massive, 48-game bonus if you chip in $125.

The bundle features a cross-section of the eccentric Paradox catalog. Europa Universalis III Complete locks down the grand strategy, while Warlock and Leviathan keep things turn-based. If that's too much thinking, you can start splitting heads with the skill-based melee combat of War of the Roses: Kingmaker or the 80's aesthetics of The Showdown Effect. Meanwhile, Dungeonland combines a bit of both. It's a cooperative hack-and-slasher where one player can be an omnipotent antagonist, which sounds like a pretty serious power fantasy.

Those who pay more than the current all-time average of $5.80 also receive the grand strategy title Crusader Kings II and Magicka, a game that's not a vampire. If those offerings are just too humble for your tastes, you can also spring for the Big Kahuna bonus pack. For $125, you'll also unlock a total of 48 games from the Paradox catalog, which ought to keep you busy for some time.

For this bundle, all games come with Steam keys. All titles work on Windows, and a few on Mac and Linux. The headliner games (not the Kahuna pack) all come with their respective soundtracks as well.

It has been at 5.80 from the first second it was available and has not shifted since, despite the actual average which one would have to calculate started off at about 3.80 and is just over 4$ now

This is likely why the weekly sale took last week off.

I think 125$ is way to high for those games, if it included EU4 I would understand but without it and mostly filled with old games its a very high price that probably wont have a lot of sales (with the exception of the guys that usually pay 100+ dollars for these humbles), the fact that the average is 5.80$ kind of shows that.

I think a better price would be like 69$ or something since people that would care enough to buy a Paradox pack for 125$ probably already have some Paradox games.

The 1$ dollar and the bigger then average deals are good though.

I bought the bundle and beat the average - I'm very interested in Magicka in particular - but I can't say I'm interested at all in the $ 125 deal. Too many of those games I have never heard of, heard bad things of or am simply not interested in in terms of genre or style or whatever. Good luck with it, folks, but it's certainly not for me.

Seriously? You're right, it's still the exact same value. Man, that comes close to false advertising, doesn't it? What does "all time average" even mean?! Is that, I dunno, the highest average it ever reached or something? If so, then the price can only go up, never down, I suppose?

I second this. Unfortunately the only game in the big bundle I'm interested in is Majesty 1 & 2, so I'm not likely to dish out that much cash on games I don't really want. Still... It IS for charity...
Hopefully they add even more as time goes on like they usually do (yeah, I'm greedy, shut up). Maybe your EU4 will pop up before the end of the Sale!

How much I wish Comrade Stalin served within this Humble Bundle.

Nonetheless, as a Paradox Enthusiast, I have already purchased the bundle. Although I am in University and have less time for vidya, this can definitely tide me over until the Steam Holiday Sale, where I don't intent to purchase much, anyways.
I've always been interested in War of the Roses, but already owning Warband and Chivalry always dismissed an individual purchase.
As I own CK2, I'll gift it, and I've heard Magicka is best with friends, and I know some peeps who have it, so that'll be fun. EU3 Complete? Yes please.
As for the other games, I've never heard of them, so I'll get to take them for a test run.

wow, finally a humble bundle in which at least 3 games i want. i may just end up buying this after all. thank you escapist for notifying us all. (steam keys only, meaning i would have to finally get around to creating steam account too, if only to get the files down when i can untie them from steam DRM)

Edit: those who have dealed with humble before: how does gift codes work, can i for example choose to keep 4 games and gift other 4 away or some such?
