Assassin's Creed Confirmed For PC

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed will be coming to the PC along with the previously announced PS3 version.

Although rumors of an Xbox 360 version of the game continue, Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed will see a PC release at an undisclosed date. While it is widely expected that the game is not a PS3 exclusive on the next-generation of consoles, Ubisoft has not been willing to confirm or deny the possibility.

Ubisoft was originally going to show Assassin's Creed at PAX this past weekend, until they realized the only platform they had to run it on was a 360, and that would have given away the "secret."

So 10 minutes before the presentation was scheduled to start, we got Splinter Cell: Double Agent instead. Try to imagine my enthusiasm.

Any theories as to why Ubi is clutching to the illusion still?

Might it have to do with some agreement with Sony?

Assassin's creed is one of the few things that sony really has going for them at the moment, I'm sure they are doing everything they can to try and make sure people think they will need to get a PS3 to play it.
