Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Binary Domain Free for PS+ Tomorrow

PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to add two more free games to their collections starting tomorrow.

Obviously, the big PlayStation-related news of the month is all about last week's launch of the PlayStation 4. However, just because Sony released a new console doesn't mean it's forgetting about its existing systems. The publisher announced on the PlayStation Blog [http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/11/18/ps-plus-binary-domain-oddworld-strangers-wrath-free-for-members/] that it would be adding two more games--one for the PS3, one for the Vita--to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection on November 19. That means starting tomorrow, Binary Domain and the Vita version of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath will be free for PS+ subscribers.

Originally released in early 2012 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, Binary Domain [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/reviews/9454-Binary-Domain-Review] is described as "a fast paced and intense battle for humanity in a robot-filled 2080 Tokyo." Stranger's Wrath, on the other hand, is a high-def upgrade of a 2005 original Xbox title, and the fourth game in the Oddworld series.

These are just two of the offerings Abe's Oddysee [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/129225-American-PS-Plus-Adding-Resogun-Dragons-Dogma-Dark-Arisen-in-November] remake finally appears.

I recall playing the demo of Binary Domain, it was a decent game. I recall it had a squad mechanic where you direct NPCs to help you fulfill missions and tasks. I vaguely remember some kind of quick time events. Not sure if I liked it, but at the time had so many games I didn't pick it up.

Really enjoyed Binary Domain, good story, good characters and had it's share of funny moments :3

Boo for Vita version.
Still, worth a play for those that can, it's an amazing game.

This reminds me. I need to download Dragon's Dogma onto my PS3. Maybe I should do that right now?

Maybe I'll get Binary Domain while I'm at it. I certainly won't shun a free game.

Yes! I'd heard about Stranger's Wrath coming up, which I've wanted to try for years but just never got around to doing, but I didn't know it would be the Vita version. Lucky for me; I have more time to spend with my Vita than PS3, usually. But man, PS+ releases new games for free faster than I can keep up with. I still haven't played Sine Mora, Hotline Miami or Dragon's Dogma yet.
