Dead Space Dev Team Auctions Unique Items For Philippines Aid

The Dead Space development team is auctioning a sweet pile of exclusive loot to raise money for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Short but sweet: Dead Space developer Visceral Games is doing its part to support relief efforts for victims of Typhoon Haiyan by auctioning more than 50 unique Dead Space items on eBay. The list of items up for grabs includes Dead Space 3 Dev Team Editions (without the actual game, but still very cool for collectors), a Dead Space RIG backpack, a Dead Space 2 "Eye Poke Machine" hologram, hoodies, statues, art books, graphic novels and more, much of it autographed by members of the team.

All money raised by the auctions will go to eBay's Giving Works [http://www.mercycorps.org/].

Due to the fact that we are donating 100% of the proceeds, and eBay handles all the transfer of your funds directly to the charity. We don't have a way of collecting money for shipping. We were able to get some funding from EA to at least ship within the US for free. Due to the cost of shipping we can only do this within the US.

If you want to have it shipped internationally, I suggest you use SHIPITO or MYUS.
http://www.shipito.com/ and http://www.myus.com/ offer mail forwarding from US to the rest of the world.
Upon winning, make sure you give us the SHIPTO or MYUS info/address so we can send it there.

P.S. don't forget that you will have to pay VAT on the declared value of the item.

Sorry for the hassle but like I said, we are donating all the money to charity and cannot afford to send the items internationally. Thank you for understanding.

Ok 1. Bloody awesome for you guys to set this up. Good job.

2. I love the fact that you have made an account and posted a detailed reply to someone having issues on a forum which isn't your own. This is way above and beyond the call of customer service and you and anyone like you deserves to be held up as a tech support saint to the rest of the masses.

I love you guys, I'd love to help and I'd love the items but I'm a single parent and don't have the disposable income, I wish you all the best and the best to the victims. As Vallorn said, I'm extremely impressed and touched how you're going out of your way to spread more information that is also clear and concise.

Thank you for your contributions.

This is one thing I don't think EA needs to say "sorry" for. ;)

Somewhat more seriously, I didn't say it in the post but Visceral and EA deserve real props for this, so thanks to all involved for doing something good for people who really need it.

Looks like you guys are doing everything but literally bending over backwards and for a good cause. That is just plain awesome.

Much love and I hope this is a success.

Man, this is great. I am bloody impressed a rep went to a forum to discuss any questions we might have directly. If only I had more money, I might try this.

I am not knocking what they are doing here, its an awesome thing. HOWEVER... is there anyone else that has played these games that seriously cringes at the thought of getting a marker replica? Anything else is fine.... but AVOID THE MARKER REPLICAS! It never ends well with those things.
