You're actually not allowed to do low-content posts, it's against the code of conduct just in case you didn't know - so you may want to add a couple of sentences to avoid getting reported. Just a heads-up.

Also I've never saved a life I think. If I did I was probably too modest to dwell on it anyway.

Uh... I once caught a kid who was about to fall from a second story balcony. Not sure if the fall would have been high enough to kill her, but it would have been nasty. She was going over backwards, so I guess she would have either landed on her head or turned right over and landed on her front.

I don't know what she thought she was doing sitting on the edge and I don't know why nobody told her to get down, but there she was. I was sitting nearby reading. I glanced up for no particular reason and noticed that she was kinda off balance. I remember thinking, "Hang on, is she about to fall? Nah, she's fine, stop being such a worryooOOHH FUCK ME DEAD SHE'S GOING OVER!" Leapt up faster than I would have thought possible, dashed over and grabbed her ankles.

The kid was really calm about the whole thing. She was only about five years old and she just sorta took it in stride. After I pulled her up she gave me a funny look like, "Why are you hold my ankles? I barely know you", then just wandered off. I was more shaken than she was.

I was walking in early morning Manhattan with a random woman behind me, trailing by about two feet. It was still pretty early, not too dark, and we were about to cross an opening between two blocks with a blind alley. Despite the fact that I didn't hear anything, for some reason I came to a dead stop and, without looking behind me, stuck my left arm straight out. The girl was a fast walker like me and I felt her coat come into contact with my arm. Less than a second later a city garbage truck came flying out from the alley at around 30 MPH. The assholes didn't even slow down because they were crossing the street into the adjacent alley. I don't know why I stopped. I looked at her, apologized, and we both continued walking (after checking the alley of course).

She said nothing, but then again nothing needed to be said. It wasn't instinct nor was it a reaction as you can't hear anything coming from those tight alleys. I guess it was me thinking something like "this is a really good area to get run over" so I stopped.

Nice job, man. If I had a choice between good instincts and a quick reaction time, I'd take quick reactions any day.

ridiculously attractive girl (and im not kidding she is so attractive she actually makes me angry ?..how does that even work?)
She's so hot that she shorts out men's brain and all we have is testosterone running through our bodies to keep us alive :D

I apologize for the poor quality but South Park must have super copyright things or something for this is the only video that seems to be alive from the episode in question

OT: I don't think I actually saved his life but I got a trip to Camp Snoopy in Mall of America for it. I was...10ish at the time when my youngest brother (2 at this time) fell into the pool. As many of you know, two year olds are not known as the best swimmers in the world.

I still argue that he was holding onto the side when it happened so I don't think I saved him by swimming over and grabbing him but everyone else insists I did. This was about twenty years ago now and I was in the water so maybe there was more I couldn't see or I don't remember some details.

I've talked this one person out of suicide. Obviously I will never know how close he was to actual suicide, but believe me the pressure was there and very real.

Grab their arm and back, pull the arm and push the back to get them beside you. I've never saved, but been saved twice. That's just my brothers though. Looking out for me when I really don't expect a car to jump up onto the side walk.

Fucking Cape Breton Drivers. If I didn't know better, I'd say they're out to kill me, because not a single one of them can drive worth a fuck.

I donate blood :3

Luckily never had to save someone on the spot, though.

You were hero-zoned? ;D

OT: nothing too drastic, ran and pulled a couple of kids out of the road because drivers here are arseholes and don't care if child, elderly or animal is in the road.

A few people have told me I've stopped them from committing suicide because I listened to their problems and helped them as much as I could.

Well in a more indirect fashion. A friend of mine had a drug problem, and I had to drag her (metaphorically and a couple of times quite literally) out of it. Somehow I managed to get some sense into her head, and she's been clean ever since, as far as I know. Of course, the main thing that did the trick was that she didn't give up on herself.

I kept someone from walking out into traffic and I have performed CPR a couple times.

Nothing horribly spectacular, but there are a couple of people walking around right now because I did something. Of course, with the way my life works, one of those folks will turn out to be the next Hitler or something like that. And everyone will be all "Thanks, Obama Amaranth!"

Aye, I've prevented a few suicides, over the fucking internet where I have no power at all.

My little brother was trying to commit suicide by jumping out of a 3rd story window, because his girlfriend died, and he lost his job. It took about 5 minutes of wrestling with him to get him down, where I hit my head on a radiator, and I went to hospital for a month.

I still hate him. Not only for that, but for feeding my parrot, who I cared for all by myself and got a paper round to feed.. and I was 7 years old to our drug-addicted dad's dog.

I can't say that I have saved a life, but my ex used to say I talked him a few times out of suicide. Though teenagers sometimes say their suicidal because they want attention. Attention as in "I'm really fucked up, somebody please help me" not the "look at me, look at me!" kind of attention.I'm not sure if that "counts" as saving a life though. I think it's admirable if you did something like that, I really wouldn't have seen a fire extinguisher falling out of the sky.

I push the girl towards me
How does that work?

OT: Not directly, but I donate blood so maybe that counts. I talked to a friend who was considering suicide but I don't think he was serious anyways. He's still alive and kicking so that's good.

Latent telekinetic powers. The same powers that tried to drop the fire extinguisher on her for being so attractive it made Zoe angry.

Hey Zoe, I have a friend who runs a school for gifted youngsters, you should give him a call.

Kidding!

Well good on ya for saving her bacon. Sorry nothing more came of it that just the buzz from knowing you saved her from harm. Though that buzz is a pretty damned good one. And just be grateful you don't have to carry the guilt if you hadn't reacted in time.

I can't say I have or there aren't any incidents that I can recall. The closest I've come is when a shelf collapsed and I stopped a large amount of heavy books from falling onto my baby sister's head. So... I prevented a concussion?

I've saved spiders. Yeah, lots of people have zero tolerance for spiders, which is why I often have to save them from getting crushed. As for people I've been lucky enough to avoid life-threatening situations.
