Bethesda Bundling Dishonored and Borderlands 2, Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Arkane Studios, Gearbox Software, Bethesda, and Irrational Games team up for game bundles on their popular titles.

Beginning Feb. 11 four popular games will be available through two different Bundles of Love, Bethesda announced today on its blog. Receiving a love letter from Borderlands' Claptrap, Bethesda proclaimed Arkane Studios and Gearbox Software teamed up to bundle Dishonored and Borderlands 2. Bethesda will also release a bundle of Skyrim and Irrational Games' Bioshock Infinite.

With hearts drawn around Dishonored's Corvo Attano, Claptrap declared, "Love and viscera are in the air!" Because nothing says "I love you" like Claptrap's glee over watching Overseer Campbell trip a mine.

Dishonored is an action adventure game in which the player can choose to be stealthy or run forward weapons and powers blazing, but the more violent the player chooses to be, the worse the game's world becomes. Borderlands 2 is an action role-playing first-person shooter where players complete central quests and side missions as a Vault Hunter. Skyrim is the fifth title in the Elder Scrolls series with plenty of places to explore in an open-world action role-playing game. Bioshock Infinite, one of the more recent games in the bundle, made its way to several game of the year lists and is the third Bioshock game. The player becomes involved in warring factions in the city Columbia, a city in the sky.

Each bundle will cost $29.99. They will launch on Feb. 11 and be available in North America on Xbox 360 and PS3. DLC is not included in either bundle, and it can be purchased separately from the bundles.

I was excited for a split second, until I read that the bundles aren't coming with DLC. I totally would have payed more for this bundle had the DLC been included.

Those are WEIRD combinations. I mean, okay, all games that a lot of people liked and all, but they're not similar or thematically related or anything.

Not really sure who these are aimed at. Not me for sure. Since at least 3 of those games have GOTY versions out I wouldn't dream of buying them without the DLC. If you're instead an early adopter, you would already have them...
