On this day in 1990 Microsoft released Windows 3.0, and today we commemorate the 24th anniversary of the release with eight Linux operating systems. If there's one thing I think of when someone mentions Windows it's an open source operating system.

Not one of those would I choose to use over windows. If I was paid to, thats a different story... But I prefer windows because I'm most comfortable there, and yes I have extensively used alternatives. I don't like them at all, just my preference.

That's my problem with these article/galleries, they almost always are a great idea or theme, but the execution is worse than dismal most of the time.
