Inglourious Plummers: A Plummer's Work is Never Done

What do you get when you mix equal parts Shigeru Miyamoto [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000233/] and gamers with a little too much time on their hands? Inglourious Plummers!

Opening this weekend, Inglourious Basterds [http://www.inglouriousbasterds-movie.com/], Quentin Tarantino's alternate-history tale of a small force of American Jews sent behind enemy lines to kill Nazis, is probably already familiar to movie fans. But did you know that at another time and in another place, a different but very similar battle raged as a rag-tag band of plummers was dropped into World 1-1 to wage a campaign of terror against the evil forces of the Goombas?

Produced by Inglourious Basterds [http://www.gamervision.com/gamer/loltim/blog/article/inglourous_plummers_trailer?utm_campaign=loltim/blog/article/inglourous_plummers_trailer&utm_source=Gamervision&utm_medium=HomepageFeatureBanner&utm_content=Banner4], featuring a mix of live-action video and gameplay footage, with a cameo appearance by Bowser as Der Fuhrer. It's a great bit of work and the end result is arguably more interesting than the original.

There's not much more to say about this, so enjoy!

Bwahahahaha!
That was absolutely epic.

I honestly hope Tarantino sees this. He's a total dork, and would enjoy it I'm sure.
Just brilliant.

Ah, videogame/anime parodies based off of trailers. You never get old.

The start was meh, but by the time Mario popped up shooting balls of fire all over the place I had a big grin on my face.

OK, that was genius, even for someone who doesn't care for any of the Nintendo franchises!

EPIC.
FUCKING.
WIN.
SIR.

I could honestly wish this actually became a movie. This is Pure Distilled Awesome, condensed into 1 minute, 45 seconds.

I think I'd rather see this than the actual movie. That video was really, really good. No offence to Tarantino, but this seems like a lot more fun than Inglourious Basterds.

Do you think we could convince the guys from There Will Be Brawl to do a full-length version of Inglourious Plummers?
