Dead Rising 3 Coming to PC - Update

Could Dead Rising 3 be making its way to the PC?

Update: Capcom has confirmed via Twitter that Dead Rising 3 is indeed coming to PC [https://twitter.com/Capcom_UK/statuses/474566425114189824]. It said the title would hit the platform "this summer". You can check out the official PC trailer to the right.

Original Story: Those super sleuths over at official header image [http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=830851], hosted on Valve's servers.

Furthermore, industry insider Shinobi602 previously Tweeted that small [https://twitter.com/shinobi602/status/472765147661225984] icon images in the database.

While Dead Rising 2, a multi-platform title, is currently on the Steam database, the original title is still exclusive to the Xbox 360, and not available anywhere else. If Dead Rising 3 makes it way to Steam, despite also being an "Xbox exclusive", perhaps we'll see the original (and best) Dead Rising too?

Dead Rising 3 is one of Xbox One's more powerful exclusive titles, so having it available on the PC as well is sure to hurt its potential sales.

For a second, I thought you meant Dead SPACE 3, and was thrilled at the thought of EA caving and finally selling their games on Steam again.

Reality is disappointing, but not too disappointing. Dead Rising has always been a hoot to play, and I can't wait to get my hands on this one.

Let me guess, the game didn't make it's 5 million sales Microsoft promised?......

.... Yeah I know, any lower and the fruit would be on the ground.

Better keep that GFWL shit away. Better keep those "mega textures" away too.

Oh who am I kidding? It will have no less than 2 layers of DRM, and an extra sign in to XBL for good measure, and the textures will be from a ps2 game.
GFWL is dead , let it go, the consumers won for a change.

Dead rising 3 on Pc will mean for me that I won't have to reward microsoft for it's terrible practices to play the one game that actually looked interesting on the system, now if they could just release a wired version of the new Xbox one controller with improved D-pad I'll be golden.

Same here. Dead Rising 3 was the only thing that had me even vaguely thinking about an XBone.

As for the guy who got the warning above, I take it you've never heard the phrase "Embrace. Extend. Extinguish."? It's been used to describe Microsoft's strategy for dealing with tech they don't or can't control. It's why ActiveX controls exist in the first place (they wanted something akin to Java but that they had control over and only IE would legitimately support), it's why IE was effectively the only browser on windows for a time (they repeatedly broke or simply ignored what the HTML specs said so that pages would either work with IE or work with other browsers, but not both -- there used to be some Javascript hacks you would use to load the IE page vs the anyone else page, if you really cared about a few percent of users -- this is why Google got in the browser market to begin with, they wanted browsers that adhere to standards because it makes their development costs vastly cheaper and Google had a lot more eyes on it than Opera or the Mozilla Foundation).

Wait, what? You can get warnings Bogos? Hmmm, thought you were immune.

Anyways, I played the ever loving shit out of the first one and proudly mega manned my way through several playthroughs but did not really get into the second one on the 360. If this comes out for Steam then I might give it a spin down the road.

That game looks like shit to be honest. It probably didn't sell enough and now they're porting it to PC. Not interested.

Well if they want anyone to play it, it can't remain an Xbone exclusive. Even the WiiU is likely to overtake it in sales by now...

My greatest problem with Dead Rising 3 is that they took away the timer which was my favorite feature of the first one, it was like, one of the only three games I've ever played with timers that used timers right, and I played A LOT of games with timers.

Hopefully there's an option to switch on the timer without using "Nightmare Mode", I think that's what they called it. I don't think I can handle a timer AND a horde of hard to kill meat-eaters at the same time.

Otherwise, good, I heard this game was fun.

His name isn't in gold so he is as vulnerable as the rest of us.

OT: I still wont get it despite is loss of exclusivity. Capcom should have never made this deal in the first place especially considering how DR2 and Its spin off were made multiplatform. They had exposed the brand to many users at that point and it was stupid and shortsighted of them to make it single platform again.

Well of this is true, then I was correct in that Dead Rising 3 was just a timed exclusive that Microsoft was marketing as being always exclusive to the Xbox One. If true, it'll be good for DR fans who don't own an Xbox One or those who don't wanna have to buy one. But another problem arises if true, and it's whether DLC will be timed exclusively as well, which is never fun.

If this is true, then cool, good for PC gamers. Granted I can't imagine what playing a Dead Rising game would be like on PC and frankly I don't want to. I'm happy with the version I got eight months ago.

Oo, that's a bold statement. Meh, most people didn't play the first one anyway.

Looks like this is real.
Dead Rising 3 looks like it has already served it's purpose as the big launch title so this makes sense.

And so it's offical. I remember when the game was announced, it was destined to ba a "timed exclusivity for one year" before launching on PC. I don't know why anybody should be surprised... Oh yeah, microsoft was in need of exclusives games for the X1 so they stepped back and said it was one.
So, it was a lie ?

In fact i don't care, i prefer State of Decay if i want to play a TP survival zombie game.

XBox One, n'est ce pas?

And I'm still waiting on Red Dead Redemption and GTA V, among others, so I'll believe it when I see it. It's hard to believe Microsoft is really rooting for another backtrack related to the XB1.

I hope this is real, because it's good news.

Meaning that the stranglehold xBox has over their games is not real.

Meaning I can freaking get KI on PC so I can get a PS4 like I wanted.

Original title. As in "Dead Rising 1" - which is indeed 360 exclusive.
