Though Legends isn't exactly an original concept, great acting and an interesting twist on the standard crime drama make it worth watching.

We see Odum signing his name wrong and slipping in and out of his natural accident
Spell-check only finds incorrect spelling. You still need to proof-read.

OT: Sounds interesting enough for me to check out an episode or two, at least.

A show in which Sean Bean doesn't die? Definitely getting cancelled after the first season then.

That's Sharpe. Sharpe's Rifles was the first series in 1993. He's made them right up to 2008.

executive producer Brad Turner says they have a 5 season story arc planned
While always good to hear, my cynicism pops up asking "What did you expect? For him to say 'we're gonna be making it up as we go along.'?"

I think back to "Lost." Anyone remember Damon Lindelof saying that there would be a "scientific explanation [http://www.geekosystem.com/lost-lies/]" for everything that happens in the show? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I'll watch, because it's Sean M'Fn Bean, and a new series that I can get in on from the ground floor, but color me "cautiously optimistic [http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/03/01/a-waste-sensation]."

The one show to actually have a 5 year story arc already written was Babylon 5. That thing even had trap doors for every main character if the actors had to leave. That was a long time ago. Now, as was stated above, you end up with crap like Lost.

I'm tempted to wait until this show runs a season so i can find out of poor Sean bean dies. I just can't take it any more!

RedDeadFred remembers :( Must you bring back old wounds?

OT: Sean Bean is pretty much always great so my interest in this is definitely piqued. Although, from the very first episode I'm going to be imagining what finally kills him at the end of the show. If it gets canceled, I wouldn't be surprised if they do some kind of Community ending where it basically says: the cannon ending is, everyone is dead if we get canceled. That way, even if they don't get their whole story out, they can still keep up with the tradition of murdering this poor guy.

Also, random bonus question for anyone interested: what's your favourite Sean Bean death?
Mine will always be the classic:
"For England James?"
"No... For me."
If my memory serves me correctly, that was the first time I saw him die.

I don't think it meant anything back then, though. I haven't watched an episode of Game of Thrones (gasp! I know!). Boromir in Fellowship is just, damn! Having not read the LOTR books, and "Sean Bean" not being his own trope just yet, I did not see that coming. And the way he went out was powerful.

I'm betting there will be a nod to the fans byt having one of his "legends" be "killed" by beheading.

People tend to forget he doesn't just die but ALSO turn evil/betray the group as well. This is just a show all about longterm playing to his other talent... until he uses the previous.
