Age of Wushu is a pretty decent eastern martial arts MMO if you ever feel like checking another one out

I was waiting for a martial arts MMO for a very long time. Then Age of Wushu was released and quite frankly it's a bit shit. Combat is unbearable. Hopefully this one will scratch the itch that I've had for quite some time.

ABORT, ABORT, ABORT. Do not get yourself entangled with this company.
Perfect World is absolutely awful about managing F2P titles - they commit every cardinal sin in the book and a few that aren't when it comes to monetizing their games. The "pay to win" philosophy is embedded in the sourcecode of anything they put out at this point. Waste neither your time nor your money on their shit.

And queue the epic kill, fetch, and escort quest montage as the player races to max level having every zone feature blur together into a fine mush before hitting the end game grind wall just like the majority of MMORPG on the market.

I love Star Trek Online, so maybe I'll check this out.

Thye also give away a ton of free crap, and every item in the game can easily be purchased and gained with a bit of extra time.

Yea, let's just call it what it is and say it's wirefu martial arts. I don't mind, but the system for social interaction system should be on par with wushu at least. I liked that about wushu.

Let's just see what it'll be. Screens can only do so much. As in, showing off how pretty the game is in still images.

Whatever you have to say ill about perfect world they seem to of stopped being pants on head stupid with most of there f2p issues and outdone only by Trion in terms of "lets not be a dick to the players"

Age of Wushu on the other hand.. well let's just say Snail USA is so bad, Gpotato drew away a section of it's US playerbase when they got european servers. Gpotato...
But yeah the idea of playing a martial arts kungfu game that isn't ran by idiots seem really appealing to me and if I had known the keys I saw pop up where for something like this I'd be playing around with it.

This is why we need Blade and Soul to come out of asia. I played in one of their beta's and I found it really enjoyable.

In fairness, I admit I haven't given PWE much thought since taking leave of their games several years ago. However, a cursory look through their Arc catalog (and associated newsposts) tells me that absolutely nothing has changed, except perhaps the poor saps they have managing this or that community. Their business models are just as toxic as ever, they still sell direct advantage to players who're willing to shell out for it, and in the case of this specific game, I give it three months (generously!) before they start putting gambling packs of some kind up for sale.

Quite frankly, the only thing I give Perfect World Entertainment credit for is that they haven't gotten worse, while other publishers have simply found even lower depths to sink to. Don't mistake "looking good in comparison" to actually being good.

EDIT: I was wrong. they absolutely have gotten worse. [http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1693251] Wow.
Popup advertisements for cash shop items that interrupt your gameplay? Just as you're about to die?Unbelievable.
