Harry Potter Star Daniel Radcliffe Wants to Play Robin Opposite Ben Affleck's Batman

Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, says he'd be "perfect" to play Robin alongside Ben Affleck's Batman.

Earlier in the week, we rapid-fire interview with BuzzFeed [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/135543-Rumor-A-Stand-Alone-Batfleck-Film-Planned-For-2019], Radcliffe said that he'd be interested in starring in another franchise, and when asked which one, he replied "Batman," and added he'd be "perfect" as Robin.

Batman. If they reboot that again, I'll do that, too. It's happening isn't it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin. I'm perfect.

While Radcliffe is fortunate enough to step out of the Harry Potter hole, as most assumed he'd be forever pegged, I honestly don't know if him playing Robin would be a good idea. But then again, we have seen stranger things happen.

In other Batman v Superman-related news, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Conan), is alleged leak has blown the lid off Warner's upcoming DC Comics movie schedule [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/135396-Report-Jason-Momoa-is-Aquaman-Will-Appear-in-Dawn-of-Justice].

Would you want to see Radcliffe be Robin? Or do you think he'd make a good Joker instead or maybe on a different comic book movie franchise altogether?

I haven't seen any of the harry potter movies, but I think I'd be cool with him being robin. At least it would be a chance for him to break being referenced to as the harry potter actor/star.

I'm not sure it would work out that way. I'm pretty sure it would lead to jokes about Harry Potter being Batman's sidekick.

Heh heh, sure, why the hell not? I don't think there's enough people snickering at the whole concept of Batfleck yet. :p

Eh, why not. His head is the right shape to pull off the dorky haircut, and it's fun to watch him get beat up for no real reason, so he's already got two of the qualifications down.

My initial reaction is that maybe he'll be a little too old. But then again look how young they have Lex Luthor in this movieverse. Radcliffe's a good actor and he looks the part so why not?

If nothing else, he's pretty good at American accents. I think he'd do well.

P.S. Thanks

Adding Robin to the B vs S movie would be a mistake in my opinion whoever plays him. the movie should focus on the prime characters and not try to overload of characters just for the sake of introing them.

I do think its a good fit, he is a very good actor even though his Harry Potter stuff never let him do much with the role. That mini series where he is a doctor in Russia or some shit was very cool.

Pretty sure the casting for Batman v Superman is very much complete by now. If there is going to be Robin, and if it is going to be Radcliffe, he won't be turning up until later Batfleck appearances.

I also pretty sure the concept of 'Don't overload Batman v Superman with side-characters who are only there to set up The Justice League' went flying out the window a while back.

He seems a bit old for Robin, but he would make an excellent Nightwing. Just slap a mullet on him like the cartoon and it would be perfection. Maybe a Nightwing origin story at least, so we can get to see him in those goofy bright red and green Robin tights acting all emo and bitter because Batman doesn't respect him.

Am I the only one that wonders wtf the picture in the article is? It looks like he is humping the back of the skull of a man wearing a cyberpunk elephant mask.

Or maybe it doesn't and I've lost my mind ._.

This actually could work. Just don't put any more characters in the next movie, there's too many already.

Could work, if Daniel's a good enough actor to not carry a british accent into a role that is supposed to be a new york american youth.

We're like 1000 characters too late for that.
Already has Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Lex Luthor, Aquaman, Lois Lane, Martha Kent, Alfred, Perry White....
They're just throwing everything at this and hoping something sticks.
Might as well throw in Harry Potter too.

Aside from Wonder Woman, who they MAY have cast perfectly (if she can build some decent muscle and act), this whole movie is nothing but one massive string of mistakes...

Given how many superheroes are already in this series, I don't think they have enough room to fit Robin in.

I think that's from Equus, a West End play, which would make it a horse. Not a particularly good-looking horse is it?

Somehow I just don't see a 30-year-old Harry Potter playing Robin, and I don't think he's really serial killer-ey enough to play the Joker. How about the Riddler though? Radcliffe's definitely got the strung out, overwrought nerd angle in spades.

Batfleck, Man of Steel's Superman, Lexxie Eisenluthor, and British Robin? This sounds too ridiculous (read: good) to be true!
