Brazil is a perennial contender in the World Cup, this time isn't any different. They haven't won since 1994, maybe this year they'll get back into the swing of winning.

Inasmuch as I would love it that Argentina won the competition, the real contenders are Brazil, Germany and the Netherlands.

Costa Rica, a powerhouse of Central America, tied with Greece to get to this point. They have yet to win the whole thing but maybe this year could be different, maybe they could take home the whole thing. Let's be honest with ourselves here, they aren't going to win the whole thing.

But in all seriousness, people from Costa Rica (myself included) read this thing. And it's not nice when someone makes fun of what is currently one of the greatest achievements of our tiny country's football (despite of how true they might be).

There's still plenty of time for surprises to come. We might even make it to the finals.

After all, weirder things have happened.
