He's Doctor Strange, not Doctor Interesting

I've only seen this movie through the Radio Dead Air review with Nash, Film Brain, Linkara, and the late JewWario.

As Bob put it, it is boring to watch, the special FX suck, and the lack of anything close to its comic book roots hurts it in the long run. This was one Marvel project that was made too soon for its time. Here's hoping that the Marvel Studio's version will be way better.

I've heard of this one, but never seen it before. I guess I should be grateful I haven't. I'm not too excited for the new Doctor Strange just because I prefer it when his comic is more talking and thinking (with surreal art), rather than grand magical displays (which is almost certainly what the movie would be based around).
Also, is the next Big Picture going to be on SDCC, the next Intermission, or both? It seems like Bob will definitely find something to talk about then.

Wizards in movies are really difficult to represent. Mostly because, if they can do anything with a turn of their hands, all dramatic tension is lost. As long as the wizard can remember his "get me out of this giant tramp, and tie up the bad guy while you are at it. Also, bring me a martini" spell, everything is fine. Its like being crazy prepared without any setbacks...
The only way to prevent that is to consistently explain the limits of the powers a character has and then respect them, but most writers are not very good at being consistent when they can aspire to be flashy.

That is what is great about Doctor Strange, yes he can do damn near anything but so can damn near every bad guy he fights. The man is empowered to protect the whole universe from beings that have the power of gods.hermes200 said:
OT: I know that Marvel had some bad attempts at getting some of there stuff on the big/small screen but damn, that really is bad.
I just had to laugh at the "temperature" bit that sounded just like it came from a porno in the 70's.
