Beautiful Moon Knight #10 Art Continues Series' Stunning Covers

Artist Declan Shalvey debuted the cover of Marvel Comics' Moon Knight issue #10 on Twitter.

Marvel's latest iteration of Moon Knight has made our biweekly today on Twitter [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/comics+collection].

After issue 6, the series got a new creative team [http://marvel.com/news/comics/23116/a_new_era_begins_in_moon_knight_7] with writer Brian Wood and artist Greg Smallwood. Shalvey has stayed on as cover artist. Shalvey's covers for the series all play with color, usually a black and white image flooded with just a single hue. The crescent moon is present, subtly or boldly incorporated into the page, and half is given over to the title. The style gives the series a cohesive look, while letting the individual issues stand out based on color. Check out all of Shalvey's covers in the gallery below, including a variant cover for issue #8. The official cover for issue #8 has not been released.

The Escapist's Stew Shearer has been following the series since issue #2, and hasn't been able to put it down since. Issue #2 put the vigilante Moon Knight on the fighting up through an apartment building [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comicsandcosplay/11361-Comics-Collection-for-April-2014] in much the same style as The Raid. The latest issue, #7, hit shelves on September 3.

Last Free Comic day I actually picked up a compilation of Moon Light Knight and i enjoyed a Marvel version of Batman... who actually works with the law, or doesnt have limitless money, or gets brutally beaten by thugs only to walk away intact and ready for the next night, and instead of intimidation actually does something while his detective friends figure out where to lead him, or plot armor

This is the same reason I REALLY enjoyed it when Dick Grayson took over as Batman.

Finally, a Batman that showed more emotion, that didn't have limitless money or confidence, that got pummeled and defeated, that had to rely on others to help him along and use detective skills and friends to help him along...

... They should have kept him as Batman for a few more years, but at least he was in The Black Mirror, one of the best Batman stories EVER.

Glad to see that one of the most awesome series on the market keeps up with its awesome covers. Only She-Hulk has better covers than this, with Hawkeye getting third place.

I remember as a kid, Moon Knight's last couple issues (somewhere in the 90's) were blowing up in price, I don't remember why but it had something to do with artwork. I always remembered Moon Knight for that and absolutely nothing else. And now I read an article that apparently continues the tradition of Moon Knight being synonymous with its artwork and nothing else in my memory. And I'm a Marvel guy, just wasn't a MK fan... cool look though, and beautiful art.
