Injustice: Gods Among Us Year Two Vol. 1 Review

The video game spinoff defies expectations by being pretty damned good, both as a tie-in and as a What If?.../Elseworlds style story.

This series IS good. I haven't actively read comics in a few decades, but this one kinda sucked me in. Superman as a bad guy with an additional power bump is quite nut bonkers. And seeing so many comic icons actually die in permanent fashion is surprisingly shocking.

Bring on Year 3. And make it magical.

similar to "irredeemable" where t was "what if superman went crazy and become a murdering sociopath?"

Not sure who or what plutonian is. I was more thinking of
Lex Luthor and Superman being genuine best buddies in the beginning.

The Plutonian is the Superman expy in the comic "irredeemable" which I mentioned before

reason being it has a similar thing, particularly the rest of the "super-team" having to go into hiding

Ah I see. I have practically zero knowledge of most non-DC and non-Marvel stuff. When it comes to comics, Norway might as well be Sahara and comics might as well be water. Outside of the few regulars(few compared to the US that is), they are practically non-existant.[/quote]
do you have specialised western comic shops? (probably not as much) because they often have stuff from image, boom or imprints like Vertigo

the one I frequent is pretty good with this

What I want to know is this: Are they moving beyond the story of the game?
I'm not really big into comic books, but the main worry I would have about this series is that they have to match everything up with the story in game.
As a result, it could SERIOUSLY limit future plans, seeing how it is a prequel to it.

Year 1 worked because the game took place after a time skip anyway, but as the gap in time between Superman's Face-Heel turn and Batman calling in the mainstream heroes gets smaller and smaller, I can imagine that making the future of this comic not having anywhere to go.

Unless they decide to use the stinger from the end of the game, in which case, all bets are off.
