Awesome Games Done Quick is Speedrunning For Charity

The Awesome Games Done Quick team are marathon-ing video games to raise money for charity.

If you've never heard of streamed live online [https://gamesdonequick.com/] right now, non-stop, with all donations made going on to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

You can check out the Humble Bundle [https://gamesdonequick.com/schedule] are getting in on the action, releasing a "Humble Awesome Games Done Quick" bundle that contains a variety of awesome games at various rewards tiers, including Duke Nukem 3D and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.

You can also purchase t-shirts from the Games Done Quick Tee Collection [http://theyetee.com/agdq], which feature some pretty sweet designs of your favorite retro characters.

Great event for a great cause. If anything it's too bad but so much of the schedule is stuff they've already done in previous marathons but it's still a great watch none the less.

You can thank the Illuminati and Mike Uyama for that. It is coming down to what makes money, rather than what the community wants to see.

That said, I'll still be there this weekend for a little bit of AGDQ.

Normally they only take runs of games they already done, if the last is quite long ago - or there were some really cool, new things found (for example the FF7 run features quite new mechanic!)
