Catch a Glimpse of Vision in New Avengers 2 Trailer

The new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron lets you look Vision right in the eyes.

We're less than two months away from the theatrical release of <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/avengers%20age%20of%20ultron?os=avengers+age+of+ultron>Avengers: Age of Ultron. Just take a moment and let that fact roll around in your mind. It was only a few years ago that interconnected superhero films seemed like a risky proposition. People weren't sure if Marvel and Joss Whedon would be able to pull off something as big, bold and unprecedented as The Avengers. Nowadays the only thing people really wonder about with Marvel films is what box office records they'll break and how <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/moviesandtv/columns/moviebob/12859-Avengers-Age-of-Ultron-Trailer-Anaylsis>many more trailers we'll get before opening day actually arrives.

In the case of <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/138169-Avengers-Age-Of-Ultron-Trailer-Leaks-A-Week-Early>Age of Ultron, that number (not counting TV spots) will be at least three. A third trailer was released by Marvel today, showcasing new footage, giving another glimpse of Paul Bettany's Vision and shedding more light on the motives of the film's titular baddie Ultron. Taking a page from the JRPG villain's handbook, he basically wants to bring about world peace by annihilating all of humanity. "There's only one path to peace," he says. "Their extinction."

After this brief bit of monologue-ing the trailer transports the viewer to the spiffy looking Avengers tower where Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark talks about his role in the creation of Ultron. He alludes to some of the Avengers recent failures and reveals that he'd been hoping to foster world peace so he and his fellow heroes could "end the fight and go home." The remainder of the trailer after that is a montage of action sequences including a cool shot of the Avengers fighting in a circle formation against an unstoppable horde of Ultron bots. The trailer closes on our first in-motion image of Paul Bettany's Vision and his baby-blue android eyes.

Give the trailer a gander and let us know if you feel at all more driven to see Age of Ultron when it hits theaters on May 1st.

Looks neat but I'm going to pass on this. Joss Whedon has turned me off to...EVERYTHING he's ever been a part of. Pass.

Already commented in the Off-Topic Thread so I'll just answer the question: Not any more keen on watching than I was before, but I am basically guaranteed to want to see it.

We're at the third trailer and it hasn't really told us much more, I'd be surprised if the third trailer did change any minds.

"peace", not ""piece.
I hope Visions eyes light up. His bright yellow eyes were always so striking about his design.

Well I'm excited for it. I'm worried how many innocent people they're going to show getting killed in order to get the point across (pretty sure someone was still in that car when Captain America tried to stop it from going over the edge), but I'm game.
I also want to see how Quicksliver and Scarlet Witch switch sides, because we know it's going to happen.

That trailer doe!

With Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's bigger connection to the Highevolutionary I wonder if we'll see those guys.

Well now we know for sure why Hulk is fighting Ironman, Scarlet Witch mind trickery.

Also liked seeing her rocking what appears to be a black cape during the big fight scene at the end.

Can't wait.

Ok, not going to lie this got me pumped. I try not to watch trailers for movies that i know I'm going to see anyways so as to spoil as little of the movie as possible but these trailers are like crack, I'm super addicted.

and serious question, does it look to any one else that they are imitating wolverine's claws in the shot at around 1:06? It looks to me like cap has a set of three extending claws that he holds in his fist.

That shot at 1:08 of them all attacking side on, that's money right there! I must admit as much as I'm trying not to get over-psyched, trailers like this don't help.

Ha, Europe will get it around 23 April . . . this feels strange. Are we becoming the bigger market or something?

I don't know. I think its more of some kind of testing grounds or something. It always struck me as really freaking weird. Like maybe they use Europe as a testing ground so they can adjust their expectation curve for the U.S. release and then finally give it to the rest of the world.

The only thing i can think of is that movies did start to make more outside USA.

Yeah. Mostly because we seem to have horrible taste. How else would Pacific Rim do better than Grown Ups 2 everywhere except America? Thank God Hollywood isn't paying attention exclusively to us anymore. Frankly it also means we get cooler stuff like that.

I saw the movie two days ago. It's a good one, but not as good as the first 'Avengers' or 'Guardians'. One thing you can be sure of is that you'll get some nice action scenes. ;)
