Telltale's Game of Thrones Ep 4 Coming Next Week

Episode four of Telltale's Game of Thrones will begin releasing next Tuesday and will be titled "Sons of Winter."

<a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/game%20of%20thrones?os=game+of+thrones>Game of Thrones is a story that's on many mediums. And, while most of its fans are likely bouncing back and forth between yearning for the next book and looking forward to the latest episode of HBO's TV series, many of us in the realm of gaming have been most eager for latest the chapter in <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/telltale%20games?os=telltale+games>Telltale's addition to the saga of Westeros. Their patience will soon be rewarded because the game's fourth episode will be arriving next week.

More specifically, the new episode will be releasing on PS3, PS4 PC and Mac this coming Tuesday May 26th. The Xbox One and Xbox 360 editions will come out the following day on May 27th while the iOS and Android games will land on the 28th. Episode four, according to a new trailer released by Telltale, will be called "Sons of Winter."

Speaking personally, I'm pretty stoked for the new episode, especially after watching its trailer. Up until now, things have pretty much been going horribly for the player's family, House Forrester. If the content shown in the trailer is any indicator, the Forresters might finally be getting a chance to strike back a little bit. Granted, it also looks like things might also become dire for certain members of the family, but I can stomach sacrificing some if it means that the bad guys finally get what's coming to them.

This series is pretty good... but I wish half the manpower going to this would go to Tales of the Borderlands as well. Being going on longer and we only have two episodes compared to the soon to be four of Game of Thrones. I'd take funny and stupid over serious and dark any day. Then again, it is always nice to play a little more Telltale.

You forgot the most important part. It guest stars Samoa Joe! I wonder if he's gonna have to choke a *****.

That's the weirdest choice for a guest voice I have seen.
Choke a *****? Joe doesn't choke bitches. He kills people, hence the chant.

On topic!

Holy shit I'm psyched. Not as psyched if it was Tales episode 3, but friggin psyched. And by psyched, I mean fuckin terrified. That idea channel episode about Breaking Bad comes to mind. I'm not enjoying it because there's so little joy in the world. Its horrid, terrible things happen to good people, its bleak, and I've been totally destroyed multiple times during it. However I keep going back for more because I must know what happens!

After its all done, then I can go back and play it and actually enjoy it instead of always wondering what horrible thing will happen next.

yet, we're waiting 4 months at a time for Borderlands episodes... tell tale is stretching themselves too thin and damaging their standing with me, and i would assume others.

Au contraire!
(Bonus: That guy with Joe is Daniel Bryan.)

I'd settle for a "Joe is gonna kill you" line though.
My god. D-Bry looks so different back then.

I stand corrected. Joe really is about to choke a *****.

That's nice and all, but unless the borderlands ep. 3 is right behind it, I'm going to be disappointed. GoT isn't really "fun," not like TotBs is. It's full of dread and tension, which is fine, but we already had a GoT episode released. At least go back and forth between games.

Hell, even Life is Strange is keeping its episodes closer together than TT did the walking dead.

I just wish that perhaps rather than take on all these extra projects, like Wolf Among Us, Minecraft, their own thing, I think a Marvel one as well, they just sat the fuck down and finished this and Tales of the Borderlands.

Both Tales and Game of Thrones have really bad and really unreliable release times, and it's starting to make me lose faith in Telltale in that they seem to be biting off far more than they can chew.

Sit down and finish your dinner before deserts.

Still, more Game of Thrones is nice, I just wish they'd be more consistent, or have a schedule to stick to.

Hmm, seems like they're putting some focus on this over their other projects.

Right: When will the dragons and white walkers show up to wreck shit first?
The books.
The TV show.
The game.

I love how this series always drifts into the background of my head, then suddenly announces "Next episode is out tomorrow!" for an extremely pleasant surprise.

Also: holy shit! Are we *finally* going to bring the pain to those Whitehill fuckers!? *And* be the ones to carry out a shocking betrayal for once!? Goddamnit, why do I have to have a full uni schedule tomorrow....
