Did anyone ever really play 2070? I did a bit but found the heavyhandedness terribly annoying. Besides, once you've played one Anno you've played them all...

I like the look of it.

Still somewhat disappointed we didn't get an 1800 or 1900s game. I like the aesthetics of that era more.

Though the above poster is likely somewhat correct, in that what will differentiate the moon from the Orient in 1404, and underwater in 2070? That in-game trailer made the cities look a lot more alive than 2070 though, which I like.

On the one hand, I want to play it. On the other, Uplay will probably be required, and with my experience using that sorry excuse for intrusive DRM playing 2070, that is a deal breaker.

Looks quite nice, I just hope they optimize the game better than 1404.
Also, if it contains any sort of DRM, most especially a heavy-handed one, I'm staying away from it.

I've played every Anno game but 2070 and I prefer 1404 so far.
With Venice addon, Unofficial patch and the CFF memory leak fix of course.

Anno 1800 are amongst the possibilities of a future game but not Anno 19XX.
You see, all the numbers in Anno games released or announced until today add up to 9.
1602=9, 1503=9, 1701=9, 1404=9, 2070=9, 2205=9.
