Well, Luigi is more like an optional fixture within "The Mario Game" (World, Galaxy, Paper, etc).

Never have I been less excited for a Paper Mario game. This has to be one of the dumbest ideas for a game I've ever heard. Paper Mario has always had the juxtaposition between 2D and 3D so nothing is gained by crossing it with the (now 3D?) Mario and Luigi series. Not to mention the Mario and Luigi games have always been kind of sub par, never even coming close to the heights that Paper Mario reached. I resent the fact that they are cannibalizing the Paper series for the Mario and Luigi series.

And what? Are they really doing this? Is this going to be lead up to start building a canon for the Mario franchise? Is there going to be a Mario Multiverse game where every Mario teams up to defeat every Bowser.

I just don't understand what there is to gain by having more Marios. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time certainly didn't improve anything by having Mario and baby Mario work together.
