Massive Witcher 3 Patch Incoming

Witcher 3's Patch 1.07, which includes over 90 fixes, updates, and additions, will be available within the next 24 hours.

On July 6, CD Projekt Red Community and Website Coordinator Marcin Momot announced [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/141459-CD-Projekt-Red-Details-Huge-New-Witcher-3-Patch] that weekly free DLCs for Witcher 3 were temporarily on hold as the team went "all hands on deck" to roll out a beefy hunk of updates for the wildly popular title. The patch, which includes adjustments to Roach's behaviors, adds a separate book tab with different colors for unread books, and makes it so that crafting and alchemy items no longer add to the overall weight Geralt is carrying will be rolling out within the next 24 hours according to Momot.

While Momot previously stated [http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/40694-The-Triss-content-and-the-inconsistency-of-our-romance-s-choice?p=1813923&viewfull=1#post1813923] that the Triss romance arc would be receiving some tweaks, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing that in the current update.

We also have some hefty paid expansions [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/141513-Witcher-3-DLC-Expansions-Big-as-Witcher-2] coming for the sprawling RPG, with developer Konrad Tomaszkiewicz stating that the expansions will be "almost the size of Witcher 2. The first expansion is expected some time this fall, with the second coming in early 2016.

This game shows no mercy for PS4 players. I imagine it will take up half my memory just to have the entire game in the end.

Anyway, I've been looking forward to this. It might make Roach not a total idiot.

That's not how patches work. They tend to mostly overwrite original files. Your game is probably not going to be 7.5Gb larger all of a sudden.

I heard somewhere it's around 7GB. Not sure if that was on all platforms or just PS4 though.

That's not how patches work. They tend to mostly overwrite original files. Your game is probably not going to be 7.5Gb larger all of a sudden.

Still need to download all of the data before the original is overwritten. If you don't have the HDD space to hold the temporary files you are shit out of luck.
