Ooh haven't seen a good, adult comedy for some while now. I do not know of Amy Schumer, is she mainly an American star? Being British therefor subconciously miserable even when happy, comedy has to be of a high enough standard to overcome the sombre conditioning. Basically what i'm trying to say is that I maintain an uneasy distrust with American comedies before seeing them, due to experiencing many (sitcoms especially included, but not all) that use weak gags that still seem popular to their audience, but I just sigh depressively and think of uncut heroin instead.
Ok too far there maybe, but still...even though humour is a highly subjective thing, would this film work for a cynicalish, non-American observer?
Wow, that question was a lot harder to word than I expected. Probably shouldn't have had that glass of wine!
