Star Fox Zero Launch Date Confirmed

Star Fox Zero launches for Wii U on November 20, 2015 in both North America and Europe.

When the Wii U exclusive continuation of the Star Fox franchise: Star Fox Zero [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/star%20fox%20zero?os=star+fox+zero], was revealed earlier this year, all we knew is that it would be coming out in Fall, 2015. Now, Nintendo has given us an exact date: November 20.

We also got a look at the official box art for the game, which you can check out below:

Star Fox Zero will be the first main Star Fox game in nine years, as long as you don't count the 3DS's Star Fox 64 3D, which was essentially a remake of the Nintendo 64's Star Fox 64.

"It's about time you turned up Star Fox. You're the only hope for our franchise!"

"I'll do my best! NX won't have its way with me!"

Glad to see at least one Nintendo franchise that's been shoved to the side for a long time is getting a proper release. No co-op focused game about Chibi Cornerian soldiers that appeals to no one.

(YES I AM STILL PISSED!)

Yay, been waiting for a release date!
Soon, just a few more months to go.
I don't really have any expectations for this game, just hoping for an enjoyable game really.

Huh, funnily enough I was thinking about this series only recently, had a quick look for the 3DS game but couldn't see a decently priced copy anywhere. Perhaps this could be a Christmas purchase if it turns out to be decent.

Holy shit Fox's face is absolutely terrifying. Those whiskers are creepy as hell, and it looks weirdly flat.

As for the game, well I don't know about that. I wasn't really impressed by the demo we saw a while back.

Slippy looks scary as fuck.

All you need to do is photoshop his hand on his crotch and you have a Bundi right there.

However I don't know if this will be the game that people have been waiting for on the WiiU. Looks good, but in a sort of Captain Toad Treasure Tracker style distraction until we get a new big budget Metroid or another Zelda.

I was the same - couldn't find it cheaper than 100AUD. Then I found someone selling a 3DS XL with Starfox, Zelda OoT, Zelda aLBW and Pokemon X for I think 350 IIRC so snapped that up (I was looking to buy a 3DS too but thought the XL was too big, so ended up selling that for 200 and grabbed a NEW 3DS instead).

OT: Cool. I'll be picking this up when it releases for sure.

Did they really re-use the head of the Fox costume from the Nintendo Power issue covering the original SNES game? Oh hey, an Arwing Walker from Star Fox 2. Neat.

Hoping to see a new fountain of memes brought forth, even if they aren't quite as memorable as the ones in 64.

Those are some odd design choices: Fox looks evil, Slippy looks even worse, can't really see Falco but at least Peppy doesn't look like he's about to die of old age like he did in Adventures.

Still good to have a proper StarFox game again after the disaster that Adventures was

A creepy cover and over-used cliche' title. Looking forward to this.

It's good to see that Star Fox is finally getting a new game. Now we just need a new Metroid and a new F-Zero.

Please don't let this game suck, Nintendo...

Star Fox: Assault says hi.

And honestly, I didn't think Adventures was that bad. It just shouldn't have been a Star Fox game.

Oh sweet! An early birthday present for me! Now, to hope for a Crystal teaser at the end of the game's story mode! ...That did not come out right... I mean, an after-credit teaser that hints at the [future] appearance of Crystal... (Much better...)

Aw... But, I love Star Fox: Assault... It just had a weird air/land ratio in terms of gameplay, that's all... (Plus, that multiplayer was boss...)
