Modder Discovers Hidden Fallout 4 Harpoon Gun

A modder has discovered a secret Fallout 4 weapon that appears to be intended for underwater use.

Modder xxdeathknight72xx discovered the Harpoon gun while rooting through Fallout 4's assets. It's bubbling animation indicates that it may have been intended for an underwater mission, potentially either one that was scrapped from the final product or one planned for an upcoming DLC. The harpoon gun replaces the Railway Gun in a player's inventory, and since it doesn't officially exist, a player will have to use console commands in order to pick up ammo for it.

Information on how to get the gun is available here [http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1619/?%20For%20console%20version%20owners,%20mod%20support%20will%20be%20coming%20to%20you%20next%20year.].

Prior to this, players available now [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/161450-Fallout-4s-Secret-Treasure-Room] on PC, to be followed by a full release on all platforms.

Players didn't discover the Treasure room, it's a staple of Bethesda games and is in every game they make (except FO3). It is inaccurate (and poor journalism) to say that it was 'discovered'.

WE KNEW IT WAS THERE!

Is there going to be a post every time someone finds out something new in fallout 4? This isn't news. Nobody wants to read this. This was on the wiki a week ago.
I find it interesting and don't read wiki's. I'm glad they shared it.

There's not much gaming news around currently. Most the of the recent AAA games have been decent and apart from that blog post about some site being blacklisted (snerk), there's nothing newsworthy. It's not just a slow news day, it's a slow news month.

Beth's games are always full off leftover stuff from development. Like did you know there is a recipe for a Steel Plate shield in Skyrim? There's no assets or object references, but there is a recipe. There's even a cell called "AAADeleteWhenDoneTestJeremy".
