Go Behind The Scenes of The Force Awakens With These Awesome Photos

The Force Awakens director of photography Dan Mindel [https://www.instagram.com/dan_mindel/] has posted some awesome behind the scenes shots from the movie.

It's always interesting to go "behind the scenes" of your favorite movie, TV show, or video game. These things are often expertly crafted in a way that pulls audiences into the illusion of being in a far away place, but if you shift the camera just a little, you can start to see the cracks. Dan Mindel [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/star%20wars%20episode%20vii?os=%20star%20wars%20episode%20vii] has just posted some pictures from the movie, showing some of our favorite scenes and moments from a different angle.

It always amazes me how well shots seem to be crafted. So many of these pictures make me aware of how "fake" or artificial some of the sets actually are. And yet, they looked alive and vibrant in the movie. In comparison, I've seen plenty of fan films with similar sets that I was painfully aware were sets. There is an art to that, I think.
