The taste is explosive.
It will give you a blast of energy.
Ignite your thirst.

...I know there's a forced thematic tagline here somewhere...

I think their marketing strategy is going to really take off. Get everyone hot and tired from running away from their burning homes, then they'll have even more reason to give the free sample a try.

Just try not to shoot the ones trying the samples. Not only will you avoid cutting down your future customer base, you'll give non-customers extra incentive to try it!

Come on, admit it Grey...while it certainly is silly that the crystal made Erin a dancer in order to highlight the fact that they're now stuck with a crappy party composition...the real reason you went with that joke is because Cory was begging you to let him draw Erin all sexy and half naked in order to further entice the Rule 34 deviantartists. :3

why has there been no anime or cartoon to actually show a pro et-contra of industrialization as opposed to just labeling it as the devil outright

That guy was surprisingly smart for a corporate mook. Not only was he observant, he didn't get himself and his squadmates into an engagement that would inevitably get them all killed within five seconds of opening his mouth.

Now I'm wondering if Erin makes a moral choice somewhere to ally with FlamerthrowerAndCola Corp just to spite the crystal.

I won't lie ... Erin is unique and therefore makes Rule 34 all the better more stocked up on Erin submissions.

Normally, characters in a web series or comic series unless based on huge known franchises like Marvel, DC, ect. don't get that much recognition. But here, despite i'm not into porn- I have found quite a bit of 'Erin loving' along the web and it's no surprise as to why.

We love her, we might hate her sometimes too- but here she's teasing the internet to devote more 'submissions' of her. There needs to be a comic made by Grey where he himself, shows Erin what people have drawn her doing and have Erin react in a certain way. It'd be priceless either way.
You know...that actually gets me thinking (generally a dangerous thing :p)...

Is Critical Miss posted anywhere else on the web? Or is it just here at The Escapist? If the former, then fair enough, Erin's made her way around to numerous audiences. If the latter........that means that we've got a number of dirty-bird members right here in this very audience...already dreaming up new...ahem..."situations" for Erin to experience. It would also mean that those responsible for the vast majority of Rule 34 Erin are fellow Escapists. o.o

I get the feeling Maybe Grey feels that way but I never got that vibe from Cory.

I'm tempted to complain about this portrayal of Shinra (et al) being a bit on the nose, but shit, at least "start fires so people will get hot and drink soda" has the ghost of logical sense to it in the form of an if-then statement, compared to Shinra saying, "We'll kill one-eighth of our city and the city will love us!"

If those crystals piss everyone off with their magic that would perfectly explain the Big Bad's reason for grinding them into cola ;)
They probably magic-ed him bald or something. Ah, sweet revenge! ALMOST as delicious as Crystal Cola (TM).

Is it just me, or is anyone else flashing back to Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus? When the Abe's people's bones were being dug up and made into brew by the Glukkons?

How about the Ghost in the Shell franchise? It doesn't demonize industrialization and technology by themselves (what with the cast being mostly cyborgs), but their misuse and abuse at the expense of society.

Heidegger: "Scarlet, I really wanna blow up those annoying Wutai ninja."
Scarlet: "Just use the air force. That will blow them to kingdom come. They destroyed Banora just fine."
Heidegger: "No, that's not powerful and phallic enough. Plus, they aren't nearly as pointlessly limited or expensive to make and maintain. I want something that you can destroy the moon with."
Scarlet: "That is... Wait a minute. We could build a giant cannon and aim it at Wutai. Kya ha ha."
Heidegger: "Gya haa haa. Yes, that's what I'm talking about. But how big would it be?"
Scarlet: "Hmmm. Big enough for three First Class SOLDIER operatives to fight on without an issue. So bigger than a skyscraper."
Heidegger: "Gya haa haa. That is perfect!"
Scarlet: "Kya ha ha. I know. Now, get out of my way, you oaf. I have no time to waste."

Well, it could be worse... It could have been Crystal Pepsi. :p
Cmon, not even a JRPG villain would be THAT evil. That would be like filling the can with Wheel Skeletons from Dark Souls.
