EA Access Tweet Reveals Unsurprising Name of New Battlefield Game

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1319/1319740.jpgYou won't be at all surprised to see what the new Battlefield game is apparently named.

A tweet from the official announced later today [https://twitter.com/eaaccess/]. While I was hoping that we'd finally see a return to the Bad Company games, it looks like we're getting Battlefield 5 instead.

The tweet was in response to a question about the appearance of Battlefield 4 Premium and Battlefield Hardline Premium in EA Access. The EA Access account said that it was "a surprise to celebrate the Battlefield 5 event" that's scheduled for later today.

[tweet t=https://twitter.com/eaaccess/status/728380005051334656]

You can check out the announcement at 4 PM EST today on the official Battlefield Twitch channel [https://www.twitch.tv/battlefield]. Until then, jump in the forums and tell us what you want to see in the Battlefield 5.

Dissapointment to everyone this one.

Bad Company is the best they can do in the modern version of the game and a lot of people are craving a return to WW2 or even WW1 for that matter.

Heck a new Battlefield Vietnam could be better.

Actually that was a surprise to me. I was going through the list of every subtitle cliche but didn't once stop to think of the obvious numbering system. Though it doesn't make it any less disappointing. Is that the cover art? They really should move away from the soldiers-walking-towards-camera thing...do they outsource their cover design to the office photocopier?

Nah, that's not the cover art. That's just a wallpaper that I had from somewhere. It's a conglomeration of all the guys from recent covers walking toward the camera.

Having Bad Company in the title isn't what made Bad Company a good game, being a good game made it a good game. At least for the multiplayer, I guess there could be some people who liked BFBC2 because of the campaign. We don't need Bad Company 3 to get a Battlefield game as good as BFBC2.

Ah, fair enough. There is still hope for change yet then! ;)

I hope the multiplayer isn't broken at launch, and has all the improvements that came recently in BF4 and BFHL (60 and 120 tick, dynamic tick rates, network delay optimizations)

Supposedly they are gonna set this one is WW1, which would be a bold choice that would definitely set this one apart from the next CoD

Well...holy shit. DICE have always excelled at trailers, I'll give them that.
