They stole that from the old Bond movies. The bad guy brings Bond up to his lair's dining room for lunch or dinner, not poisoned of course, reveals his big plan, and then puts him in an overly-complicated death trap. IMO, nobody did it with more class than Sir Christopher Lee in "The Man With The Golden Gun."

i'm actually fairly certain that the only reason bahamut sin destroyed the floating city at the beginning was because Tidus's outfit was a scar upon the very earht and needed to be pruged

The outfit is typical JRPG stuff, the laugh just made me want to hit him in the throat with a blitzball. I love that game, it's my favorite Final Fantasy, but that scene just makes me want to smash the game.

In fairness, the "laughing" scene was meant to be awkward. But when you already have bad VA and annoying characters and their "Relationship" that are plot-centered, it's hard to even see the humor in it let alone take it seriously. It is resulting in something so cringe-y that I have yet to meet a rational person not wish they had seen that.

As for the comic, what was with Rad's head in the second panel? The squares caught my attention; is this a reference I'm ignorant of?
