Yeah I agreed the ending credit was one of thhe few highlights in the film (Bebeop and Rocksteady were awesome despite keep using that "my man" joke which Rick and Morty ruin it for me). Granted the credit wasn't perfect like they used Vanilla Ice chorus and the human cast under that graphic style look hideous! Still it was awesome seeing the Bay turtles simplify under that artstyle!
Yeah the film itself was more or less the same as the first one, riddle with incoherent plotholes, rushs moment and other stuff but whiching your brain off you will get some decent actions in it!

Cheese pizza is only bad when its that bland one-cheese pizza Calvin used to order in Home Alone. However, if you get a well-crafted three or four cheese pizza, it can be a heavenly experience. Real mozzarella, provolone, then take your pick of ricotta or some other cheese to balance it out. Good stuff.
Also I'm fairly sure that giant turtles would make the worst ninja ever. My taste and smarts are far too good to ignore such a central plot problem.

In all seriousness, I haven't seen this film or the first one, because anything with Michael Bay's name attached to it scares me away. I know some people will accuse me of "being too blinded by nostalgia" to give those movies a chance, but I'm guessing those same people are not Transformers fans. Besides, to those people, I can easily say I enjoy the 2012 cartoon series, so they can eat their own argument with a side of crow.
Yes, I liked the original cartoon growing up and the original first two live-action movies (the third one was complete shit). I still argue that those two films hold up today (the second less so than the first, though). I haven't gone back and rewatched the original cartoon in a long time, but I'm guessing it won't hold up as well.
EDIT: Also, I actually thought the CGI TMNT movie was okay.

I keep hearing bad things about that film and so I finally saw it back in March and honestly found nothing wrong with it. It was nothing spectacular but was perfectly serviceable. Maybe it was people who grew up with the original 80s cartoon who dissed it but I grew up with the 2003 version.marioandsonic said:

Wow, only here on the Escapist do you see reviews that completely throw you off with the final rating. It sounded like Marter was actually enjoying the film, then BOOM, two stars. Oh well, its good enough to spend two hours of dumb fun with my sisters before we are all shipped back to school.
So, is it better and/or worse to watch this film without watching the first movie... like watching X2 before watching X1?

I saw the first one and even being non entirely sober at the time, just hated it. Especially the last fight that looked as bad as the worst of the power rangers series; suppposed to be a hardcore baddy, but is only an unconvincing douche in an unconvincing, flimsy costume, unconvincingly prancing about. Maybe if i waa a 7 year old. But Pacific Rim and transformers did a better job of childish mayhem. Why do so many Americans love their bad cheese in entertainment? Is it compensation for the terrible quality of the dairy products made and sold over there?
It was all the bad reviews (thank you very much, MovieBob) that stopped me from seeing the first one of these, but my friends liked it. Still not sure about seeing this one, or even what Cinemarter thought of it. He liked it, but gave I 2 stars?marioandsonic said:
