Fallout 4's Codsworth Can Say 300 New Names

Bethesda has released a Fallout 4 update that adds more than 300 new names to the list that Codsworth can say.

Codsworth, one of your available Fallout 4 companions, a list [https://bethesda.net/#en/devnotes/fallout-4-1-6-update-live-on-pc] available.

The patch - 1.6 - is now live on PC, with Xbox One coming next week and PS4... well, Bethesda is "working on timing" for that version.

Other new features in Patch 1.6 include ExitSave - exiting to the main menu creates one of these, but it will delete itself after you load it - and support for upcoming add ons, in addition to bug and performance fixes.

I'm sure someone lovely will point out all the names that are shout outs, but I can name my character Starbuck now.

Starbuck.

I'm going to start a new run ASAP.

Still no Gorrath, and it's such a common mashup of two gruesome words too!

Yet, I can now do my John Cena playthrough.

Still no Earl still(QM) There goes my Earl Hickey run cause one single robot won't say my name which is obviously a key part of the game as told by how much they promoted it before launch

They finally decided to add some ACTUAL names and not thirty more renditions with the words "ass" and or "fuck" in them?

Say it ain't so.

Aww, no Sophia, Elly, or Athena. So much for hearing a robot say my character's name.

Bort is kind of awesome, though.

I was unsure weather "codsworth can say names" thing was actually real...I guess my original choice of "June" was a little too old timey?

Going to make up for all the bad things I did in life starting with 'let my son be kidnapped'

They should do a poll every month where the top 5 voted names get put in.

And behold as the people bring us Ass Master, Your Mother, Dr Who, SEX!!! and Vaulty McVaultface.

Truly this is the only democratic and none communist way of doing things.

One of them is Bort. I might actually buy this game now.
"We have run out of Bort licence plates in the gift shop, repeat we have no more Bort licence plates."

I totally missed the significance of it saying my name first time around and only noticed when the Escapist told me to notice.
