Resident Evil 7 PC System Requirements Aren't All That Scary

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1351/1351385.jpgThe PC system requirements for Resident Evil 7 are out, and they shouldn't scare your machine too badly.

Resident Evil 7 is still a few months away, but Capcom has already posted the PC system requirements. The list showed up on the game's Steam page [http://store.steampowered.com/app/418370/].

The requirements aren't all that onerous, as you'll only need a GTX 760 to hit the minimum, and a GTX 960 to make it to the recommended line. As you can see in the notes Capcom included, the recommended specs will get you running at 60 fps at 1080P. Higher resolutions will of course require more horsepower.

Here's the full spec list:

Minimum Specs

OS: Windows 7,8,8.1,10 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300 or better
Memory: 8GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x
DirectX: Version 11

Additional Notes: 1080P CPU/GPU at 30FPS Players will have to either lower texture or set streaming textures to OFF in order to optimize performance.

Recommended Specs

OS: Windows 7,8,8.1,10 64-BIT
Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz or AMD or better
Memory: 8GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280X or better
DirectX: Version 11

Additional Notes: 1080P CPU/GPU at 60FPS

Resident Evil 7 is expected to launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on January 24, 2017

760 as minimum and 960 as recommended? A small difference like that usually signals a poor port with little settings options...

certainly not terrible, the other question is: how will the port be. even though i never had any issues with any RE title besides the remastered version of RE4, but was fixed later on with patches that followed up very quickly and since then every other RE title they have released was a good port. REmastered, zero and revelations 2.
