Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered System Requirements Aren't all That Onerous

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1359/1359038.jpgActivision has posted the minimum requirements you'll need to run Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

This Friday, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will hit stores. Packed inside the box will be a second Call of Duty title: the remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In fact, this is the only way to get the new remaster, at least for now.

If you're planning to play on PC, you're probably wondering just how much hardware you'll need to run it. Activision has announced the minimum system requirements for the remaster over on their support site [https://support.activision.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-Remastered-Minimum-System-Requirements/?l=en_US&c=Game_Title:All&fs=RelatedArticle]. Here they are:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit / Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 810 @ 2.80 GHz
Memory: 6GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 @ 1GB / ATI Radeon HD 7850 @ 1GB
Hard drive: 55GB available space at launch (more space will be required for updates, DLC, etc.)

As you probably noticed, these requirements aren't quite as demanding as those for Infinite Warfare [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/168713-Call-of-Duty-Infinite-Warfare-PC-Minimum-System-Requirements-Announced]. That being said, they're (unsurprisingly) still a lot steeper than the original game was nine years ago.

The system requirements I was never overly concerned about.

That Infinite Warfare requirement, on the other hand...

i3?

But yea, packaging it with the far superior, graphically, Infinite Warfare, makes any system requirements redundant.

Normally, yes. For the rare instance you own two sepearte PCs and one is not as powerful as the other, the weaker one might not fulfill the requirements for Infinite Warfare but maybe for Modern Warfare Remaster - and I am pretty sure you can at least INSTALL them seperately on PC.

Aside from the Infinite Warfare requirement (which will no doubt be dropped after they get their delicious pre-orders) those don't seem so ba-

Yikes, devs still aren't keen on compression this gen? Wait a minute...

Goddamnit, of course there's DLC planned for the fucking remastered version. Couldn't just give us it complete. Though still not quite as bad as Capcom putting fucking microtransactions in DMC4SE (seriously what the fuck Capcom?).
