Get For Honor or Ghost Recon Wildlands Free with a New Nvidia Card

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1379/1379144.jpgIf you're in the market to replace your video card, you could also snag one of Ubisoft's newest games for free.

If you're thinking you might need to upgrade your PC to be able to run For Honor (see the system requirements here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/169345-For-Honor-PC-System-Requirements-Announced]) or Ghost Recon Wildlands, Nvidia has a new deal that might catch your eye. When you buy a GTX 1080, GTX 1070, or a system or laptop that contains one of those cards, you'll be able to choose of of Ubisoft's upcoming titles and get it for free.

Alongside this promotion, which is called the "Prepare for Battle Nvidia GeForce GTX Bundle," Nvidia is also announcing that you can now redeem codes from these events through its GeForce Experience application. Inputting the code there will automatically add the game of your choice to your Uplay account.

Obviously, there are a couple of caveats. You will need to purchase from a participating retailer, and of course, you'll have to use Uplay to get the game. You can find more info, a list of participating retailers, and all the instructions for redemption over on the Nvidia website [http://www.geforce.com/hardware/10series/for-honor-ghost-recon-wildlands-bundle].

I wonder if there's any way to buy a GPU, get one of the games, and then return the GPU?
Nope, the came code is tied to it and will show registration, which will make the GPU not returnable.

I really don't think that's true. Just to confirm, I googled the issue and found this response from Newegg.

Correction: It seems to vary by vendor. EVGA for example considers the game a free gift. Your mileage may vary. I'd check with the vendor on their policy.
