Nintendo Nabs an Emmy
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has recognized Nintendo's invention of the classic "D-pad," or directional pad, which revolutionized the way people play videogames.
The D-pad was first seen on Nintendo Entertainment Systems in 1985 and has been included on every gaming controller designed since it's debut, Sony and Microsoft's controllers included.
Nintendo was awarded their Emmy at the Technological and Engineering Emmy Awards in Las Vegas.
