These people are just asking for lawsuits. I mean wow. No attempt to disguise the anime characters, blatantly ripping off LoL..

Sheesh.

Hey, Chinese shmucks! If you really ARE going to rip-off famous chars, then at least give them a unique set moves, that represents their powers in their anime, game, etc. Reskining existing LoL characters is just damn lazy.
That would require effort. When you're already using copyrighted characters, you're not travelling down the 'put some effort into this' path.
Umm... I'd like to disagree, a bit. You see, I had an idea about making a mod for DOTA2, which would of many characters from Street Fighter, One Piece, JJBA, etc., with their actual skills. And I would have made it free (But I lack knowledge and time to do it, so it's just an idea).

And that is exactly why I am frustrated with activity of these Chinese guys. They've bastardized my idea!

The Chinese bootleg proves once more that there is no Mandarin word for "copyright."
Maybe there's one in Cantonese?

Anywho I don't play LoL/DOTA style games. But I would play this one just because it is a definite attention grabber.

...is it bad that I wanna play this for the sheer novelty? I can't wait to see future "hero" releases...
Optimus Prime...Applejack...
Hell, if they throw in Bob Ross, I'm sold!

Is there a list of the entire "300" (assuming there even is that many) heroes anywhere? I want to see just how deep this copyright infringement pit goes.

I'm surprised nobody has made a comment about identifying the characters that weren't examined. I saw Saber, Kirito, and Blackrock-shooter.

Haha, got shown a clip of this game awhile back by a friend, hilarity and ridiculousness.
Some of the stuff... Throwing all the Donkeys.

At that point I don't think any sane person could resist.

There is a word for copyright in Chinese, it's 版權 or Bǎnquán. Just nobody gives a fuck, kinda like some mobile devs.

Also before anyone corrects me or is confused, Chinese as a written language is the same in order to allow people speaking different dialects to communicate. Mandarin is simply a spoken dialect, as is Cantonese. I would know, my family is from China and we speak Mandarin.

How would one go about getting this game if they wanted to play for the novelty? I would like to see/try the roster.

I wish there really WAS a universe-crossing MOBA or open-world game. Just think of how many "who would win...?" fights could be settled in it!

Rainbow Dash vs. Joffrey
Charles Foster Offdenson vs. Master Chief
Superman vs. James Heller
Invader Zim vs. Hanna Montana

the possibilities are endless!

Hmmm, well there are bigger deals with Chinese infringement, but I've been talking about this for years. Chinese infringements and bootlegs cost the western world trillions of dollars in revenues each year, and according to some estimates might account for as much as 80% of China's current economy one way or another. With the US drowning in debt and good portions of the rest of the western world also having economic troubles, I've been of the opinion for a while that stopping this should be a top priority, even if that means starting a global war.

To be honest things like this, or China's giant "infringement theme park" where they had the counterfeit Gundams and such don't mean much in the overall scheme of things. Albeit all these little infringements add up. The big problem is when you look at drugs like Viagra which China knocks off in huge quantities and undercuts the original creators, stopping their sales and costing the USA and France in particular tons of money. When you consider that Uncle Sam should basically be getting a dime for every boner pill sold globally, something which is arguably in almost every nightstand nowadays, that alone represents a big deal, and it's not the only product of this type. Something is deeply wrong when the US is having major economic problems, and China is launching Aircraft carriers based on revenues gained from stolen foreign ideas and technologies. This is also what a lot of people talk about when they refer to a "robber economy", which also involves how a lot of the money owed by the US is to China, where they have been basically loaning money they stole back to the US in order to try and pay the bills the US cannot cover due to all of the money it's losing to country's like China. Simply put the US is stupid and would rather do this than go to war for it's own interests.

Not something I'm going to argue about right now (everything that can be said on these forums has been said), the point pretty much being that this kind of thing shouldn't shock anyone. I mean if China can pretty much play kickball with companies like Pfizers and Merck (as much as you might hate them they are huge and powerful) and the goverments of the world aren't willing to do much in response to those huge losses of revenue, what hope do people with copyrights to fantasy characters (anime, cartoons, etc...) have?

That said I think this game is more representative of the Chinese mindset, rather than an attempt to intentionally violate as many copyrights as possible for lulz. There is such disrespect for the ownership of foreign property that I doubt anyone stopped to consider it. Like a lot of things that China comes up with it seems like they largely took a shotgun approach to what people like, they know MOBAs are popular, and people like playing their favorite characters, so they pretty much took everything they could think of a way to make work, crammed it all together, and pretty much created the kind of glorious chaos that typically only exists in the mind of a young child. This in of itself isn't a unique idea, Japan has been taking a lot of diverse universes and doing "crossover" games for a long time, it's just most of them don't make it to the US, this is pretty much the same thing, but taken to an extreme, and without each of the creators being approached, asked, and paid for the rights to their property. Allegedly (which I say because I don't entirely buy it) a lot of these crossover games don't make it to the US for licensing reasons and it being too expensive to sub-license for a US release (but to explain what I think about this would be another huge post in of itself).

Yep. Make a mod with copyright material and it gets banned="omg evil companies"
Make a mod and rut in under a different name=lawsuits are coming in.
Do you remember when we could play digimons in Starcraft? i do. and there was nothing wrong about that. not in todays world though.

I've always wondered how many people read those huge essays about starting WW3 that he always posts in any thread to do with China.

Alright... so what's the reskin of Karthus? I would very much like to know. You know what? Just give me the character files for this nonsense and I'll mod my own game. Well, if graphical modding of LoL is okay. I don't actually know because until right this moment, I've never had cause to check it out.

Edit: WE CAN PLAY IT! The youtube video links to instructions on how to download the whole thing!

Okay, China? You're getting an F for this assignment, this is clearly plagiarism. You and I are going to be having words after class.

I know I should be mad at the copy write infringement but honestly I just can't stop laughing. Hell many of the work for jack all making our electronics I say let them beat shreck to death with luffy.
HOLY CRAP I JUST REMEMBERED!!! Flight of Characters...
Think: Anime Characters in Single Lane DotA with no towers. Battle Arena Style.
I'm actually REALLY upset that it this idea didn't become more popular... it's defiantly easier then DotA. (In my opponion)

Edit: Actually looking at Epicwar.com FoC has more downloads then DotA... go figure.

That would require effort.
So does giving them unique animations...
I'm not entirely sure they made most those animations either. They remind me of what I use to see back with the Warcraft III custom matches of One-Piece and Naruto themed DOTA remakes.
That's because all of those skins are ripped from various WCIII maps. All of the Naruto ninja are definitely using skins from maps of that era, as well as the Saber skin and a couple of the One Piece skins. All of them from other Arena Battle/MOBA maps of that generation, I might add. I think the only skin I didn't recognize right off the bat were the Chopper and Shrek skins.

Hmmm, well, all sarcasm aside there are only a few things that have me going on militant rants, it's just that those two subjects: China, and The Middle East, tend to come up quite a bit. At the end of the day it's less a matter of wanting to see a global apocalypse so much as not seeing many other plausible alternatives to a lot of big problems that people prefer to ignore in hopes that they are going to go away. Like it or not, China's robber economy is strangling the US and a good part of the world, and China isn't just going to stop knocking off products and violating international patents and copyrights, it's not like there haven't been attempts at diplomacy or to resolve things legally. At the end of the day China's attitude is that they are going to keep stealing whatever they want until
someone makes them stop. By building up their military it hopes to make the cost so high that people like you will not be willing to go to war, while things get increasingly worse, the rest of the world becomes weaker and more impoverished, and eventually China can wind up as the dominant global superpower and pretty much rule the world, even if they don't invade anyone (and to be honest, I think they will given time, but that's another story entirely).

The way I see things is that at least I advocate doing something about these problems, as opposed to simply viewing things with alarm and going "wow, that's outrageous" but just letting it go as the problems become increasingly extreme and pervasive. I also very much believe that a huge portion of the global debt can be placed at the feet of China, and behaviors like the one this article is about fuel it, as it's something that goes beyond simply knocking off video games and IPs.

In short, I get that a lot of people don't like what I have to say. But unless you've got some better solutions that don't involve simple variations on things that have been tried before, you really don't have any room to criticize. To be honest it would be nice if soft power solutions (diplomacy, sanctions, etc...) in all occasions, but at the end of the day it all comes down to hard power (military, espionage, terrorism/commando strikes, etc...), soft power solutions mostly work when your already accepted as being willing and capable of a "hard" solution.
