Major League Gaming Hires Agencies for TV Coverage

Major League Gaming and Flame Ventures partner for television coverage.

Competitive gaming organization Major League Gaming has hired Flame Ventures, a media development and production company, and Endeavor, a talent agency, to expand brand awareness on television, mobile phones and other media. Future MLG events, such as this year's Boost Mobile Pro Circuit tour, will likely be receive television airtime and mobile distribution deals.

Last year, Major Leage Gaming showed seven hours of its 2006 Pro Circuit on NBC Universal's USA Network and the World Series of Video Games on the CBS College Sports Television Network. Expect similar announcements to come throughout 2007.

The World Series of Video Games is a completely different company. I know some MLG players played in the event but they did not have anything to do with it.

Not a fan of Halo but they do a pretty good job with their broadcast. At least you can see what is going on compared to some other shows I have seen over the years.

Good point. Major League Gaming-sponsored teams competed on the televised events, but for clarity, the World Series of Video Games is managed by Games Media Properties, a division of the talent and entertainment company William Morris Agency. GMP also happens to be the people responsible for GameRiot.
