Subsistence Servers Shut Down

Servers for Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence to go offline.

Konami has announced it will pull the plug on Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence's online servers on April 3. In its place, Konami plans to support Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops with online play.

The announcement [http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/mgo/america/index.php] states: "The last day of online service for Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence in North America will be April 2nd. Konami sincerely thanks all of the Subsistence online community for their dedication to the game and support of the Metal Gear Solid series."

I'm sure all the players of MGS3:S are glad that they can purchase a PSP and a new game in order to be able to play online, if they have a wireless network.

This is the reason I like, and am willing to pay for, Xbox Live and its centralized servers. At some point, you always get what you pay for.
