Rockstar Debuts "There's Always A Girl" Trailer

[gametrailers=57346]

Episodes From Liberty City, the disc-based compilation of Grand Theft Auto IV's two downloadable add-ons, arrives at the end of October, and to celebrate the predictably controversial firm has released a new trailer.

Dubbed "There's Always A Girl," the short vignette includes footage from both the Lost And Damned DLC pack and the upcoming Ballad of Gay Tony add-on.

Sadly, when compared side by side, the latter add-on looks far more interesting. It's almost like comparing an FX network drama [http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/soa/] to Michael Bay's latest action blockbuster. The former could potentially wow you with edgy storylines and realistic portrayals of man's inhumanity to man, but the latter has that sweet bit where the one dude shoots that airplane dude from a motorcycle then jumps onto the plane!

My raging elitism is scoffing repeatedly from the sanctity of its Ivory Tower at the comment I just made, but can any of you really disagree? The Transformers director perfectly encapsulates the schadenfreude of gaming, intentionally or not, and even those of us who sneeze into nearby copies of Jung's "Red Book" can find a sublime joy in the zen chaos of truly creative (albeit virtual) destruction.

I'm suddenly excited about a Grand Theft Auto game for the first time since L7 and Dre were on the soundtrack.

Wow. That was a really cool trailer.

I'm looking forward to Episodes. Will it be released on PC?

I agree, Ballad looks like it will be more interesting, but honestly, I lost interest in GTAIV when Saints Row 2 came out....that damn phone.

Ah, GTA IV, I remember how I purchased this game on release date for PC, how I spent an entire week trying to get it to work, 2 months gathering the money for a new video card, another month for the PSU to go along with the card, and when I was finally able to complete the game, receive a slap on the face when I heard you weren't going to give me more of your loving or hating whichever it is that Live seems to hold against me when I wanted to play online.

Please, let there be more for PC. :(

This trailer is cool, but I don't plan on getting Episodes. Gay Tony doesn't interest me, and I already have Lost and The Damned. I still like the trailer, though.

Looks like these episodes are actually going to be "fun", in contrary to GTA4.

More importantly, they used Roxette's "The Look" as the theme, which instantly makes it a winner.

Better DLC than Saint's Row 2, but as the quote goes, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.

Here's hoping Rockstar play Saint's Row 2 and realise where GTA IV went wrong.

Cool trailer. Hope they'll release for PS3 players.
Fuck that, i don't like GTA IV thatr much, but Rockstar is a PC 360 kindof company, if they won't release their crack-bucket fillers to us fabulously rich(cause pcs have to be updated so we get better stuff than consolers) pc folks why would monolith boys get it.

That is an excellent trailer, but Rockstar has been doing good ones since Vice City(though that one didn't have as much character interaction as just showing the city). Sucks that Rockstar are console humpers, and won't take the time to port at least Lost and the Damned to PC. What I have seen of Johnny so far makes me want to explore his story more. But oh well.
And speaking of exciting maneuvers, we see quite a few in San Andreas. Don't tell me, Earnest, that you get seduced by the higher graphics? Graphics don't make the game great. But that's an argument for another time. Thanks for giving us the heads up!
