Electronic Arts to Publish Harmonix Title
Electronic Arts signs Harmonix for next music title.
Alex Rigopoulos, Chief Executive Officer of Harmonix, announced at GDC that his studio has agreed to a publishing deal with Electronic Arts subsidiary EA Partners, a division for handling independent developers, for the studio's next title.
No further details concerning the next project were given beyond an interview with GameSpot [http://www.gamespot.com/news/6166925.html] where Rigopoulos only commented that, "The project we're working on is by far, by far our most ambitious undertaking ever." This will be Harmonix's first title since it was acquired by MTV Networks [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/64938-MTV-to-Buy-Guitar-Hero-Developer-Harmonix] in late 2006 for $175 million.
