Trion Hires EA Executives

Trion World Network hires former Electronic Arts executives to lead web technology group.

A new technology and gaming entertainment company, Trion World Network, has hired Erin Turner and Peter Huang from Electronic Arts. Erin Turner, who led EA's efforts in e-commerce and digital distribution, will serve as Senior Director of Web Services & Publishing for Trion and will lead the online publishing division in producing applications and game clients for the web and mobile devices. Peter Huang, once the Senior Director of Development at EA, is now the director of web technology at Trion, where he will manage the publishing and client development teams.

Huang commented on Trion's potential and working with Turner. "Trion's vision of complementing online games with modern web technologies gives the company a tremendous advantage in the Web 2.0 environment. They have done an amazing job attracting top-notch talent in the games and technology industries. In addition, Erin and I make a great team. We have delivered many pioneering products together and look forward to bridging games with connected-clients in ways never possible before."

Dr. Lars Buttler, CEO and Co-founder of Trion World Network, is glad to have the two executives on board. "We are extremely excited to bring Erin and Peter on-board. Not only are they leaders in the world of web and online games, they are a proven team whose vision and experience will ensure we deliver on our mission to captivate audiences with game services across multiple platforms in a global market."
