April NPD Numbers: Nintendo Hot - Sony's PS3, Not So Much
Unit sales figures for the Big Three in April are in.
The NPD Group sales figures for the month of April, as outlined <a href=http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=25104>here, show a strong hardware and software performance by Nintendo, with Sony's hand-held and PlayStation 2 also performing well, in contrast to the PlayStation 3.
Nintendo moved 471,000 DS units and 360,000 Wiis, and even its Game Boy Advance sold 84,000 units - besting the PS3 by 2,000 units
The PS2 and PSP sales were 194,000 and 183,000 units, respectively.
Microsoft, meanwhile, registered in at 174,000 unit sales of the Xbox 360.
