So yes, if you're one of those types for whom everything is better in Japanese, you might want to start saving up for a PS3. The rest of us will just have to make do with the normal dub acting. The horror!
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Who cares, besides the anime and Japanese culture freaks? The game doesn't change, but you just get to hear poor English voice overs, instead of mellow dramatic Japanese voice overs.

Shucks?
Exactly.

So long as the script isn't cut what-so-ever, I'll be sticking with the 360.

I don't really care about this: the English dubs in FF12 were solid stuff. The ONLY game where I prefer listening to Japanese dubs is the one Naruto game I have, because then I don't have "BELIEVE IT!!!!" sounding off in my ear every three seconds.

On a side note, I'm wondering how long it'll take for someone to run in here screaming about how the 360 will ruin FF XIII.

TBH, even listening to fart noises is better than listening to F-ing American accents for 100 hrs of dialog. Brrrr!

Certainly a good reason to own a PS3 version.

You mean to tell me that the best reason to own a PS3 is the fact that it has enough space to change the language? Fuck that. You have just convinced me never to buy a PS3.

Just put the extra voice acting on Live, what's the big deal? Its not like many people care.
Didn't they do that for Blue Dragon? I don't see why they couldn't follow that example if they really wanted to.

Why so many people posting I don't care? It is rather confusing, it is no surprise they would only be able to fit into the ps3 but really if you don't care why the impulsive need to insult people who might? Just seems a little strange if you ask me.

I call BS on the developer. This reeks of the developer just not wanting to go through the work of compressing the data so it fits on the standard 360 disc. At the end of the say it's definitely not a big deal so meh.

*applaud* Very good! You can even imagine in your world that Square-Enix made the game just for you!

Seriously, what's with all the weirdos in this topic? Can't Escapists ever just soak in some information without the need to insult somebody or act otherwise ridiculous?

I don't think that's what he told you at all.

Ok, I can understand you calling out Darkrai on that other post, but this is a little uncalled for.

He was making a statement about how he speaks English as his main language, and therefore, would like to hear his game characters speak English too. It's not meant to make anyone mad. You're being offended by a non-existant insult.

And we always act ridiculous. MONKEY-BANANAS! SPLIGGLEFURT! OOZERBAFFLES!

That last one was just for you :D

Problem is english dubs always sound so amateur and just plain bad. I understand a little japanese and if there's the choice I always go with the original language. (Like in Eternal Sonata etc.)

I personally don't care if it came with different language options. I don't know why people are so obsessed about having japanese audio. I'm fine with english as lone as it makes sense and it looks like it been synced decently. I think they should just put it on downloadable content if people care so much...
